摘要: A printing apparatus 1 compares a distance γ from a printing finish position of received printing data to a card rear end with a distance β set corresponding to a peeling distance α in which an ink ribbon R peels off from a card C, and thereby determines whether or not the printing finish position is within the distance β from the card rear end. As a result, when it is determined that the printing finish position is within the distance β from the card rear end, it is controlled that reeling of the ink ribbon R is performed by at least a distance obtained by adding the distance γ to the distance α after printing on the card C is finished, and that the thermal head is then retreated to a retreat position. By this means, when the printing finish position is in the vicinity of the card rear end, the sag of the ink ribbon pulled out by a drop of the thermal head is resolved, and the ink ribbon does not wind itself around the platen roller.

摘要: A transfer apparatus includes a transfer device which performs transfer processing to transfer a transfer layer or protection layer to first and second faces of a card-shaped recording medium, a correcting device which performs decurl processing to correct a curl of the recording medium to which the transfer layer is transferred, a transfer sequence determining device which determines a transfer sequence to the first face and the second face of the recording medium, and a control device which controls the transfer device and the correcting device. The transfer sequence determining device determines the transfer sequence so that the transfer processing is performed alternately on the first face and the second face at least once. The control device performs the decurl processing with the correcting device for the difference between the number of times of the transfer processing on the first face and the second face of the recording medium.

摘要: The present invention is to provide a transfer apparatus which can effectively correct a curl of a card and prevent deterioration of the card. The transfer apparatus transfers a transfer layer of a transfer film with a transfer roller to both faces of a card, a transfer unit which includes the transfer roller is structured to perform transfer processing for a plurality of times on at least one face of the card. A controller controls transfer sequence of transfer processing so that transfer processing is performed alternately on a first face (front face) and a second face (back face) of a card and so that the number of times of decurl processing with a decurl mechanism is smaller than the number of times of transfer processing.

摘要: To provide a printing apparatus capable of preventing the image quality from deteriorating, the printing apparatus is provided with a ribbon 41 laid between spools 43, 44, DC motors Mr3, Mr1 for rotating these spools, driver for supplying driving power to the motors, encoders for detecting rotation amounts of the motors, and controller that controls the driver. A CPU drives the motor without the tension due to the ribbon 41 being applied, calculates the rotation velocity of the motor based on the rotation amount of the motor detected in the encoder, applies the calculated rotation velocity and the supply current in driving the motor to the relationship between the rotation velocity and the supply current in a reference motor, and calculates the supply current for providing the same rotation velocity as the rotation velocity in driving the reference motor with the supply current of the time the motor is driven.
