Abstract: An electronic device displays a plurality of user interface representations in a stack on a display. The device detects a first drag gesture by a first contact at a location on a touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to a location of a first user interface representation on the display. While the first contact is at a location on the touch-sensitive surface that corresponds to the location of the first user interface representation on the display and is moving across the touch-sensitive surface in a direction that corresponds to a first direction on the display, the device moves the first user interface representation in the first direction on the display at a first speed in accordance with a speed of the first contact on the touch-sensitive surface and moves a second user interface representation, disposed above the first user interface representation in the stack, in the first direction at a second speed greater than the first speed.

Abstract: An electronic device has a home button that is available in a plurality of different contexts to dismiss user interfaces in response a first type of input. The device detects a first input of the first type directed to a displayed first user interface. In response, the device determines whether user interface tactile outputs are enabled. If so, the device performs a first operation and provides a corresponding first tactile output. If not, the device performs the first operation and forgoes providing at least a portion of the corresponding first tactile output. After performing the first operation, the device detects a second input of the first type on the home button. In response, the device performs a second operation that is associated with the home button and provides tactile output that is associated with activation of the home button, regardless of whether user interface tactile outputs are enabled.

Abstract: A method includes displaying a set of one or more suggestions including one or more character strings that are suggested replacements for a first set of one or more entered characters. The method further includes: while displaying the set of suggestions, receiving one or more additional entered characters; and after receiving the additional entered characters, updating the set of suggestions based on an updated set of entered characters that includes the first set of entered characters and the additional entered characters. The updating comprises changing a first suggestion in the set of suggestions from a first character string that is a suggested replacement for the first set of entered characters to a second character string that is a suggested replacement for the updated set of entered characters.

Abstract: The device displays a messaging user interface on a display, the messaging user interface including a conversation transcript, a plurality of electronic stickers, and a message-input area. While displaying the messaging user interface, the device detects a first user input while a focus selector is at a first location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to a first electronic sticker in the plurality of electronic stickers. In response, the device places and displays the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. While the first electronic sticker is displayed in the conversation transcript: the device detects a second user input while a focus selector is at a second location in the messaging user interface that corresponds to the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript. In response, the device changes the position, size, and/or rotation of the first electronic sticker in the conversation transcript.

Abstract: A method includes displaying a suggestion region above an on-screen keyboard. The suggestion region includes multiple suggested character strings. The method further includes: detecting a gesture that begins within a predefined key of the on-screen keyboard; and responsive to detecting the gesture: in accordance with a determination that the gesture ends within the predefined key, inserting a first character string into a text field; and in accordance with a determination that the gesture ends outside of the predefined key, inserting a second character string into the text field, wherein the second character string is different from the first character string.

Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and tactile output generator(s) displays a user interface including an object and predetermined snap positions. The device detects a first portion of an input by a contact on the object to select the object. In response to detecting the object selection, the device visually indicates the selection and generates a first tactile output. While the object is selected, the device detects a movement of the contact as the second portion of the input by the contact. According to the contact movement, the device moves the object. After detecting the second portion and while the object is proximate to a predetermined snap position, the device detects a third portion of the input by the contact to drop off the object. In response, the device visually indicates the deselection, moves the object to the predetermined snap position; and generates a second tactile output.

Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and tactile output generator(s) displays a user interface including a user interface element. The device detects a contact on the user interface element and an input by the contact including a movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface. In response to detecting the input by the contact, the device changes a position of an outer edge of the user interface element relative to a threshold position in the user interface in accordance with the movement of the contact. The device further detects that the change in the position of the outer edge of the user interface element has caused the outer edge of the user interface element to move across the threshold position. After detecting the threshold position crossing, the device generates a tactile output and moves the position of the outer edge to the threshold position.
