Abstract:
An electronic device with a display and an embedded fingerprint sensor displays a lock screen on the display. While displaying the lock screen, the electronic device detects a first touch input on the embedded fingerprint sensor. In response to detecting the first touch input on the embedded fingerprint sensor: the electronic device, in accordance with a determination that first timing criteria are met, displays content of a plurality of messages; and the electronic device, in accordance with a determination that second timing criteria, different from the first timing criteria are met, ceases to display the lock screen and displaying a home screen use interface for the electronic device with a plurality of application icons.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a method for mirrored control between devices performed at a first electronic device including one or more processors, memory, and a touch-sensitive display. The method includes: sending an item from a first instant messenger application running on the first electronic device to a second instant messenger application running on a second electronic device; displaying the item in the first instant messenger application, wherein the item is concurrently displayed in the second instant messenger application; receiving information corresponding to an interaction with the item; and in response to receiving information corresponding to the interaction, updating the item on the first electronic device, wherein the update to the item is mirrored on the second electronic device.
Abstract:
An electronic device displays a home screen and detects a first input on a first application launch icon; in response to detecting the first input, replaces the home screen with a first user interface; while displaying the first user interface, detects a second input by a second contact that includes movement across the display in a first direction; and in response to detecting the second input: if the second input meets dock-display criteria (e.g., includes movement of the second contact that is above a first movement threshold), displays a user interface object overlaid on a portion of the first user interface; and in accordance with a determination that the second input meets home-display criteria (e.g., includes movement of the second contact that is above a second movement threshold that is greater than the first movement threshold), replaces display of the first user interface with display of the home screen.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface of an application. The device detects a first portion of an input including a contact on the touch-sensitive surface, and then detects a second portion of the input including movement of the contact across the touch-sensitive surface. The device displays, during the movement, application views including an application view that corresponds to the user interface of the application and another application view that corresponds to a different user interface of a different application. The device then detects a third portion of the input, including a liftoff of the contact from the touch-sensitive surface. In response, the device, upon determining that application-switcher-display criteria are met, displays an application-switcher user interface, and upon determining that home-display criteria are met, the device displays a home screen user interface that includes application launch icons.
Abstract:
An electronic device has multiple cameras and displays a digital viewfinder user interface for previewing visual information provided by the cameras. The multiple cameras may have different properties such as focal lengths. When a single digital viewfinder is provided, the user interface allows zooming over a zoom range that includes the respective zoom ranges of both cameras. The zoom setting to determine which camera provides visual information to the viewfinder and which camera is used to capture visual information. The user interface also allows the simultaneous display of content provided by different cameras at the same time. When two digital viewfinders are provided, the user interface allows zooming, freezing, and panning of one digital viewfinder independently of the other. The device allows storing of a composite images and/or videos using both digital viewfinders and corresponding cameras.
Abstract:
An electronic device: displays an electronic document; while displaying the electronic document, detects a first input from a stylus, including detecting an initial contact by the stylus on a touch-sensitive surface; determines a plurality of characteristics of the first input, including a tilt of the stylus; in accordance with a determination that the tilt meets one or more selection criteria for a first virtual drawing implement, selects the first virtual drawing implement for the stylus to emulate; in accordance with a determination that the tilt meets one or more selection criteria for a second virtual drawing implement, selects the second virtual drawing implement for the stylus to emulate; and, after selecting one of the first virtual drawing implement and the second virtual drawing implement for the stylus to emulate, generates a mark in the electronic document with the selected virtual drawing implement in response to detecting the first input.

Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display and one or more sensors to detect signals from a stylus associated with the device: detects a positional state of the stylus, the positional state of the stylus corresponding to a distance, a tilt, and/or an orientation of the stylus relative to the touch-sensitive display; determines a location on the touch-sensitive display that corresponds to the detected positional state of the stylus; displays, in accordance with the positional state of the stylus, an indication on the touch-sensitive display of the determined location prior to the stylus touching the touch-sensitive display; detects a change in the distance, the tilt, and/or the orientation of the stylus, prior to the stylus touching the touch-sensitive display; and in response to detecting the change, updates the displayed indication on the touch-sensitive display.
Abstract:
An electronic device responds to a user input that includes a movement detected while displaying a user interface object at a first position relative to a first user interface of a first application. If the user input is directed to a location that corresponds to the first user interface object at a start of the movement, the electronic device moves a respective representation of the first user interface in accordance with the movement, relative to a background located behind the first user interface and remaining visible during the movement. If the user input is directed to a portion of the first user interface that is away from the location that corresponds the first user interface object, at the start of the movement, the electronic device performs an operation within the first user interface without moving the respective representation of the first user interface relative to the background.
