Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface and a display, that includes one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface, displays a plurality of application icons, where the plurality of application icons include a respective application icon corresponding to a respective application. While a focus selector is over the respective application icon, the device detects a gesture that includes a contact on the touch-sensitive surface; and in response to detecting the gesture: when the contact had a maximum intensity during the gesture that was below a respective intensity threshold, the device displays an application window of the respective application; and when the contact reached an intensity during the gesture that was above the respective intensity threshold, the device displays a plurality of user interface objects that correspond to the respective application.

Abstract: An electronic device with a display concurrently displays a device status region, and an application user interface that includes a content region and an application input field. While concurrently displaying the device status region and the application user interface, the device receives first input in the application input field. In response, the device concurrently displays respective content in the content region in accordance with the first input, and first text that corresponds to the first input in the application input field. While concurrently displaying the respective content and the first text, the device detects a second input that corresponds to a request to scroll the respective content in a first direction. Abstract: An electronic device, with a touch-sensitive surface and a display, includes one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface. While displaying a camera preview in a camera application, a contact corresponding to a focus selector at a respective location in the camera preview is detected, and in response, the respective location in the camera preview is set as an autofocus reference point. In response to detecting a first press input that includes an increase in intensity of the contact above a first intensity threshold, the device captures media with the camera application in accordance with the autofocus reference point.

Abstract: Systems and methods for multitasking using touch-sensitive displays are disclosed. An example method includes: displaying a first application on a touch-sensitive display (TSD) of an electronic device; detecting, via the TSD, a swipe gesture that moves over part of the first application; in response to detecting the swipe gesture, displaying an application selector with a set of affordances, and the application selector is (i) displayed in a predefined portion of the TSD and (ii) overlays at least a portion of the displayed first application; detecting an input at an affordance of the set of affordances; in response to detecting the input: (i) ceasing to display the application selector; (ii) displaying a second application corresponding to the selected affordance in the predefined portion that was previously used to display the application selector; and (iii) resizing the first application to occupy a remaining portion of the TSD adjacent to the predefined portion.

Abstract: An electronic device displays selectable user interface elements, detects a touch input on a first user interface element, and in response to detecting a first portion of the touch input, which reaches a first intensity threshold, changes an appearance of the first selectable user interface element to indicate that the input has been detected. Abstract: An electronic device displays a user interface in a first display state. The device detects a first portion of a gesture on a touch-sensitive surface, including detecting intensity of a respective contact of the gesture. In response to detecting the first portion of the gesture, the device displays an intermediate display state between the first display state and a second display state. In response to detecting the end of the gesture: if intensity of the respective contact had reached a predefined intensity threshold prior to the end of the gesture, the device displays the second display state; otherwise, the device redisplays the first display state. After displaying an animated transition between a first display state and a second state, the device, optionally, detects an increase of the contact intensity. In response, the device displays a continuation of the animation in accordance with the increasing intensity of the respective contact.

Abstract: An electronic device, with a touch-sensitive surface and a display, includes one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts with the touch-sensitive surface. The device detects a contact on the touch-sensitive surface while a focus selector corresponding to the contact is at a respective location on the display associated with additional information not initially displayed on the display. While the focus selector is at the respective location, upon determining that the contact has an intensity above a respective intensity threshold before a predefined delay time has elapsed with the focus selector at the respective location, the device displays the additional information associated with the respective location without waiting until the predefined delay time has elapsed; and upon determining that the contact has an intensity below the respective intensity threshold, the device waits until the predefined delay time has elapsed to display the additional information associated with the respective location.
