Abstract: According to an embodiment, a system can comprise a processor and a memory that can store executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can include generating a reference signal in an initial domain, and first transforming the reference signal into a time-frequency domain, resulting in a first transformed reference signal. The operations can further include transmitting the first transformed reference signal to a user equipment for a second transformation to be applied to the transformed reference signal by the user equipment, resulting in a second transformed reference signal. Further, in response to the transmitting the first transformed reference signal, receiving a signal from the user equipment that was configured, based on the second transformed reference signal.

Abstract: A closed loop carrier sense multiple access multiuser request to send and clear to send handshaking system is provided to efficiently allocate licensed and unlicensed spectrum for a plurality of mobile devices and across different base stations and mobile network operators. A user equipment device can be connected to a base station device via a first frequency in licensed spectrum, and a second frequency in unlicensed spectrum. The air interface on the first frequency can then be used to coordinate physical and virtual carrier sensing on a second frequency among a plurality of user equipment devices. Moreover, carrier sensing results from a plurality of UEs can be reported a base station device via the first frequency in licensed spectrum. The base station device can then schedule multiple user multiple input, multiple output (MU-MIMO) transmissions to a plurality of UEs on the second frequency in unlicensed spectrum.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards operating a user equipment node as a scheduler user equipment (e.g., which can be a local manager of other nodes in a group). The scheduler user equipment receives a scheduling request for the scheduling of the resources for transmission of data by a transmitter user equipment, and based on the traffic type requested, schedules the transmitter user equipment and receiver user equipment(s) with scheduling data/allocated radio resources. The transmitter user equipment can directly transmit to the receiver user equipment(s) on the allocated radio resources, e.g., without further involvement of the scheduler user equipment/local manager. For cellular data, the scheduler user equipment can schedule the transmitter user equipment to transmit to the scheduler user equipment as a receiver node.

Abstract: Facilitating shared demodulation reference signal design for control channels in a wireless communications system is provided herein. The operations can comprise evaluating a usage parameter of a mobile device for application of channel demodulation reference signal reuse by the mobile device. In response to a first determination that the usage parameter satisfies a condition relative to a threshold usage parameter, the operations can comprise facilitating a first transmission to the mobile device to implement the channel demodulation reference signal reuse by the mobile device. In response to a second determination that the usage parameter does not satisfy the condition relative to the threshold usage parameter, the operations can comprise facilitating a second transmission to the mobile device to implement usage of separate channel demodulation reference signals.

Abstract: An integrated access and backhaul network is provided with network nodes that can establish timing synchronization with any other network nodes. In an embodiment, network nodes in a multi-hop integrated access and backhaul network have a hop order of n, wherein n represents a number of hops from a node connected to the core network via a wired connection. In an embodiment, instead of using the network node with a hop order of 0 as the timing synchronization reference for over-the-air synchronization, any network node can use any other network node as a synchronization reference. A relay node can first establish a wireless link to said arbitrary node. Said wireless link is then used to synchronize the relay or IAB node using a Precision Time Protocol (PTP) implementation.
