    Abstract: A current sensor integrated circuit (IC) includes a unitary lead frame having at least one first lead having a terminal end, at least one second lead having a terminal end, and a paddle having a first surface and a second opposing surface. A semiconductor die is supported by the first surface of the paddle, wherein the at least one first lead is electrically coupled to the semiconductor die and the at least one second lead is electrically isolated from the semiconductor die. The current sensor IC further includes a first mold material configured to enclose the semiconductor die and the paddle and a second mold material configured to enclose at least a portion of the first mold material, wherein the terminal end of the at least one first lead and the terminal end of the at least one second lead are external to the second mold material.

    Abstract: A magnetic field sensor for sensing a movement of a target object an include a substrate having a major planar surface and three or more magnetic field sensing elements disposed upon the major planar surface of the substrate. The three or more magnetic field sensing elements can have respective major response axes, each major response axis parallel to the major planar surface of the substrate. The three or more magnetic field sensing elements comprise first and third magnetic field sensing elements and a second magnetic field sensing element disposed between the first and third magnetic field sensing elements. A first spacing between the first and second magnetic field sensing elements is less than a second spacing between the second and third magnetic field sensing elements. No other magnetic field sensing elements are disposed between the first and third magnetoresistance elements.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for a magnetic field sensor for measuring movement of a target including a substrate and a magnet. A first bridge structure has first and second pluralities of magnetic field sensing elements spaced from each other.     Abstract: Magnetic field sensors can sense speed of movement and direction of movement of a ferromagnetic object. The magnetic field sensors employ both planar Hall effect elements and vertical Hall effect elements to generate two-state signals in two different signal paths with relative phases that are ninety degrees apart, the ninety degrees having sufficient margin to aid in detection of the direction of motion. Other magnetic field sensors use at least four vertical Hall effect elements to identify a speed of rotation and a direction of rotation of a moving ferromagnetic object.

    Abstract: A magnetic field sensor for detecting motion of an object includes a magnet configured to generate a magnetic field and having a first surface adjacent to the object and a second surface distal from the object. The first surface of the magnet has a centerline axis substantially parallel to and disposed on the first surface, and the centerline axis is diagonal with respect to a motion axis substantially parallel to and disposed on the first surface and parallel to which the object moves. The magnetic field sensor also includes a semiconductor substrate disposed between the magnet and the object, the semiconductor substrate supporting a plurality of spaced magnetoresistance elements disposed along a sensing element axis substantially parallel to the centerline axis of the magnet and configured to generate a respective plurality of magnetic field signals in response to the motion of the object with respect to magnetic field.
