Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to devices, systems, and methods for coil embolization, and, more particularly, to use and methods of forming coated coils. In an aspect, an embolic system may include a coil having a proximal end, a distal end, and a length therebetween slidingly disposed within a sheath. A coating may be disposed about the coil. A delivery filament may be configured to be slidingly disposed within the sheath proximal of the coil such that the coil can be ejected from the distal end of the sheath into the working lumen of a microcatheter. The coating may be configured to substantially fracture as the coil transitions from being substantially aligned with a longitudinal axis of the microcatheter to substantially misaligned with the longitudinal axis of the microcatheter upon being ejected from the microcatheter. The coating may be configured to plasticize after being ejected into an aqueous environment.

An example embolic material delivery assembly includes an outer member having a lumen extending therein and a distal end region, an inner member disposed within the lumen of the outer member, wherein the inner member includes a first lumen extending therein. The embolic material delivery assembly also includes a first embolic material extending within the first lumen of the inner member, the embolic material having a first distal end region. The embolic material delivery assembly also includes an anchor disposed within the lumen of the outer member, the anchor having a first attachment region. Further, the first distal end region of the first embolic material is coupled to the first attachment region of the anchor.

Abstract: A balloon for renal nerve modulation is disclosed. The balloon may include a polymer material forming a balloon wall having an outer surface and flexible circuits comprising a base selectively adhered to the exterior surface of the balloon wall. Adhesive is selectively applied to the outer surface of the balloon, to the flexible circuit or to both such that the adhesive is selectively deposited on the at least a portion of the at least two pads or on the at least a portion of the at least two pads and to a portion of the distal spline. The portion of the at least two pads or the portion of the at least two pads and a portion of the distal spline are adhered to the outer surface of the balloon and a remainder of the flexible circuit moves freely with respect to the outer surface of the balloon.

Abstract: A drainage catheter may include a polymeric tubular member and a braided reinforcement that is disposed about the polymeric tubular member. The braided reinforcement may include a repeating braid pattern that extends over a first portion of a length of the drainage catheter and a modified braid pattern that extends over a second portion of the length of the drainage catheter, the modified braid pattern providing a region without any braid filaments. The drainage catheter may include a drainage hole that extends through the polymeric tubular member within the region without any braid filaments.
