    摘要: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate, a photoconductive layer formed on the conductive substrate containing a charge generating material and a charge transferring material, and a protective layer formed on the photoconductive layer for protecting the photoconductive layer. The protective layer contains an alcohol-soluble polyamide resin and an alcohol-soluble chelate compound. According to the present invention, the electrophotographic photoreceptor has the protective layer with chelate compound has improved adhesive properties to the photoconductive layer and improved the electrostatic characteristic and productivity.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid diimide derivative of Formula (1), which has a branched alkyl group substituted with an aryl group at the α-position with regard to nitrogen atoms of imide groups: wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, and a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group; R3 is selected from the group consisting of a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a C7-C30 substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, and a group having the formula —(CH2)n—Y—R4; Ar is a C6-C30 substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; Y is an oxygen or sulfur atom; R4 is a hydrogen atom or a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group; and n is an integer between 1 and 12. The naphthalenetetracarboxylic acid diimide derivative has high solubility in organic solvents and compatibility with binder resins, thus providing better electron transporting ability. The invention is also directed to an electrophotographic imaging apparatus using the photoreceptor.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided that includes an underlayer, a charge generating layer, and a charge transporting layer that are sequentially formed on an electrically conductive substrate. The underlayer includes a metal oxide, a binder resin, and a heat stabilizer; the charge generating layer includes a binder resin and a phthalocyanine-based charge generating material; and the charge transporting layer includes a charge transporting material, a binder resin, and a heat stabilizer. Also provided is an electrophotographic image forming apparatus including the photoelectrographic photoreceptor. The laminated type electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a predetermined combination of heat stabilizers in the underlayer and the charge transporting layer, and the charge transporting material is a combination of butadiene-based amine compound and hydrazone-based compound, or a benzidine-based compound. Thus, the electrophotographic image forming apparatus including the electrophotographic photoreceptor can stably provide high quality image after repeated use.
