    Abstract: A functional wall module for at least partially forming an individual space in a building and for positioning and selectively repositioning one or more objects within the individual space. In one implementation, the functional wall module includes a frame having a plurality of frame supports that define an interior space of the frame. The functional wall module additionally includes a bracket configured to support or couple to moveable platforms, the bracket comprising one or more bracket arms extending away from the interior space and from the frame. The functional wall module additionally includes a positioning mechanism within the interior space and connected to the bracket such that the positioning mechanism is operable to reposition the bracket.

    Abstract: A system for sealing a space defined between a modular wall and a permanent structure includes a sealing material connected to the permanent structure and the modular wall and spanning the space defined therebetween. The sealing material is configured to transform from an expanded state to a recovered state in response to a stimulus to form a seal. The stimulus can be, for example, heat, whereby heating the sealing material at or above the transition temperature for the sealing material causes the sealing material to transition from the expanded state to the recovered state.

    Abstract: A system for mounting sliding doors within a wall assembly and suspending a ceiling. The system includes a mounting assembly mounted above the suspended ceiling and out of sight. A sliding door extends through a slit between the wall and the ceiling and connects to the mounting assembly. A shroud encases the mounting assembly to block light, airflow and sound from passing through the slit in the ceiling.

    Abstract: Snap-in trim systems include a mounting element securable to or integrated with a structural component of a building. Structural components include modular wall components suitable for having decorative or structural trim attached thereto. The mounting element extends longitudinally along a length of the structural component. A longitudinal connection element is secured to the mounting element along the length thereof. The connection element attaches to the mounting element at an attachment interface either anterior-perpendicularly, lateral-parallelly, or anterior-lateral-diagonally. A trim element is connected to or integrated with the connection element. Connected trim elements include an alignment element for ensuring proper positioning of the trim element relative to the connection element. Trim elements include baseboard, crown molding, window casing, door casing and door stops.

    Abstract: Embedded furniture systems include a furniture assembly having a furniture stowage component and a furniture element extending from and moveably connected to the stowage component. The stowage component has a body with a furniture compartment recessed therein. The furniture element is selectively stowable in the compartment and deployable therefrom on a first side of the assembly. The assembly extends through an opening disposed in a wall component. The surface of the first side of the assembly is aligned with a first side of the wall and the covered portion of the body extends from an opposing second side of the wall. A concealing element is disposed about and substantially covers an exposed portion of the body on an opposing second side of the assembly. The concealing element includes a substantially hollow furniture component such that the covered portion of the body appears to be a piece of furniture.

    Abstract: A leveling stud includes a threaded body extending between a top end and a bottom end thereof. The bottom end has a flat bottom surface and a dig protrusion extending from a portion of the flat bottom surface. The dig protrusion is configured to dig into a channel surface of a base track of a prefabricated wall system when the leveling stud is threaded into a positioning nut of the base track. The flat bottom surface is also configured to abut the channel surface when the leveling stud is threaded into the positioning nut.
