    Abstract: An operation method of a base station in a communication system may comprise: generating first RACH configuration information for a normal terminal; generating second RACH configuration information for a RedCap terminal; transmitting a message including the first RACH configuration information and the second RACH configuration information; and performing a random access procedure with a first terminal based on the message, wherein a terminal type of the first terminal is identified based on the first RACH configuration information and the second RACH configuration information, and the terminal type is the normal terminal or the RedCap terminal.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and method for incremental machine learning in a varying feature space. A device for machine learning according to the present invention includes a probability table generator configured to generate a probability table for a target feature of a dataset and a conditional probability table for each input feature of the dataset, based on the received dataset, a correlation extractor configured to extract relevance between the target feature and each of the input features and redundancy between the input features, based on the dataset, and a feature weight extraction and model generator configured to extract weights for each of the input features based on the relevance and the redundancy, and generate a prediction model based on the probability table for the target feature, the conditional probability table, and the weight.

    Abstract: A method of a terminal may include: receiving, from a base station, at least one SSB belonging to a first layer; receiving, from the base station, at least one SSB belonging to a second layer; determining valid SSB(s) from among the at least one SSB belonging to the first layer and the at least one SSB belonging to the second layer; selecting at least one first SSB belonging to a layer having a higher priority among the first layer and the second layer from among the valid SSB(s); and reporting the selected first SSB to the base station, and using a beam used for receiving the first SSB to perform an initial access procedure for communications with the base station, wherein each SSB includes at least one of a synchronization signal or a broadcast channel.
