摘要: An inkjet printing press is provided which can hold sheets extremely stably. In an inkjet printing press, an inkjet head 3 is provided at the outer periphery of a printing drum 1 rotated in one direction. The printing drum 1 is provided with holding claws 15 which are opened and closed to hold the leading end of the sheet S, and clamps 21 which can be opened and closed for clamping the trailing end of the sheet S. When the clamps 21 are moved from their open positions to their closed positions, the clamps 21 are moved backward with respect to the rotating direction of the printing drum 1 to impart a tensile force to the trailing end of the sheet S and tighten the sheet so that the trailing end of the sheet is held by a clamp 21 with the sheet in its tight state. Also, the clamp 21 is brought into contact with the periphery of the printing drum 1 by an attracting device to assure the holding of the sheet.

摘要: A fixing device in an image formation apparatus has a heating roller and a backup roller. These rollers are each coated with single silicone rubber layers around the respective peripheries of their core bars. This silicone rubber has a volume resistance value of 1013 &OHgr;·cm or more. The heating roller is charged with electricity of the same polarity as the polarity of toner particles due to frictional electrification caused at the time of feeding of a recording medium. The heating and the backup roller are polarized reverse to the polarity of the recording medium. A quantity of charged electricity on the backup roller is made larger than that on the heating roller. This permits the image formation apparatus to prevent offset from occurring at the time of fixing a toner image onto the recording medium to cope with various types of recording media.

摘要: The present invention relates to a desk-top type color electro-photographic apparatus which is easy in use, small in size and light in weight, wherein maintenance such as changing its photosensitive member can be performed by a user and color adjustment is performed with high accuracy of less than 100 .mu.m. Developing units for four colors are placed in a rank, a single endless-belt-shaped photosensitive member being placed below them to form an approximately oval shape, the photosensitive member being touched with a transfer member on its major axis side to transfer each color of images. In addition to this, the photosensitive member is employed a cartridge type for easiness of user's maintenance and constructed such that highly accurate positioning between the body of apparatus and the cartridge can be performed. Effect of the eccentricity of pulleys is decreased by means of making the pulleys wrapped with the photosensitive member have the identical diameter and making the diameter of the transfer member integer times as large as that of the pulley.

摘要: A basic image of objects is extracted from a two-dimensional image of objects. Geometrical elements of the objects are extracted from the extracted basic image. The objects to be recognized are identified by searching a combination of the geometrical elements which match a geometrical model and then utilizing candidate position/orientation of the objects to be recognized, said candidate position/orientation being determined from a relationship in relative position between the combination of geometrical elements and the geometrical model. Mesh cells fixed to the geometrical model are mapped on the basic image based on the candidate position/orientation. In addition, verification is made as to whether an image of the geometrical model mapped by the candidate position/orientation is accurately matched with an image of one of the objects to be recognized, through a neural network to which values got from the basic image included in the individual mesh cells are to be applied as input values. Combination weight factors employed in the neural network are learned according to the verified results. It is also possible to recognize the multi-purpose objects according to how to learn the combination weight factors.

摘要: An apparatus for detecting the collision of objects including a moving object includes a face information memory for storing face information describing the surfaces of each object; hierarchical sphere model generator for modeling the surfaces of each object by hierarchically covering the surfaces with spheres having various radii on the basis of the face information; sphere model memory for storing the positions of the modeled spheres generated; sphere position updater for updating the position of each modeled sphere having various radii with respect to the moving object and outputting the updated position; and sphere collision computer for executing procedures in which mutually colliding spheres are detected on the basis of the positions of the modeled spheres concerning two of the objects generated at an arbitrary time and stored in the sphere model memory and colliding spheres among spheres belonging to the mutually colliding spheres and having a smaller radius are further detected with respect to only the spheres determined to collide with each other, and for determining the collision of the two objects with each other when finally mutually colliding spheres having the smallest radius are present. The procedures are executed hierarchically and consecutively starting with spheres having a large radius toward spheres having a smaller radius.

摘要: A cleaning device for an electrophotographic copying machine includes a blade mounted on a housing so as to scrape off a residual toner from the surface of a photosensitive member. A seal member is mounted on the housing so as to guide the scraped-off toner into the housing to collect the toner in the housing. A rotary screw discharges the collected toner from the housing. A vibrating member is mounted on the housing and disposed adjacent to and inwardly of the seal member. The vibrating member includes a plate-like portion having an edge portion contacted with the rotary screws, and is adapted to be vibrated during rotation of the rotary screw. The plate-like portion is formed with a number of slits spaced apart from each other by a distance smaller than a pitch of the rotary screw, so as to enable to effectively vibrate the plate-like portion of the vibrating member.
