    Abstract: Provided is a member for displaying a projected image, including: a first base material; a second base material; and an optical member, in which at least one optical member is disposed on a surface of the first base material or the second base material, the optical member includes a plurality of cholesteric liquid crystal dots, the cholesteric liquid crystal dot is formed of a liquid crystal material having a cholesteric structure, the cholesteric structure imparts a striped pattern formed of bright portions and dark portions in a cross-sectional image of the cholesteric liquid crystal dot taken by a scanning electron microscope in a direction perpendicular to a substrate, the dot includes a portion where the height thereof successively increases to the maximum height thereof from an end portion toward the center thereof, an angle between a normal line with respect to a line formed by the first dark portion from the surface of the dot on a side opposite to the substrate and a line representing the surface of the is in a range of 70° to 90° in this portion of the cross-sectional image, and a reflection center wavelength of the dot is in a range of 400 to 1000 nm.

    Abstract: Provided is a wavelength selective switch where crosstalk is improved and miniaturization is realized. The wavelength selective switch includes: one or more input ports; one or more output ports; a polarization controller that adjusts a polarization state of light incident from the input ports; a dispersive element that demultiplexes wavelength-multiplexed light incident from the input ports; and a deflection element that controls deflection of the demultiplexed light. The dispersive element is a liquid crystal diffraction element having a liquid crystal alignment pattern where an orientation of an optical axis derived from a liquid crystal compound changes while continuously rotating in at least one in-plane direction.

    Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a projection image-displaying member having excellent suitability for polarizing sunglasses, a windshield glass, and a head-up display system. The projection image-displaying member has a first polarization converting layer, at least one selectively reflecting layer, and a second polarization converting layer in this order. The first polarization converting layer and the second polarization converting layer are layers formed by fixing a helical alignment structure of a liquid crystal compound.     Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a half-mirror film for displaying a projection image having high adhesiveness, a laminated glass in which wrinkle generation of the half-mirror film is suppressed or furthermore has high adhesiveness, and an image display system using the laminated glass. The problem is solved by providing a half-mirror film for displaying a projection image including a transparent support; and a selective reflection layer reflecting light in a wavelength selective manner, in which the transparent support has an absolute value of 10 nm or less of an in-plane phase difference at a wavelength of 550 nm and a heat seal layer disposed on an opposite surface of a surface having the selective reflection layer, the heat seal layer contains a thermoplastic resin, and a mixed layer in which components of the transparent support and the heat seal layer are mixed is formed between the transparent support and the heat seal layer.
