    Abstract: A mirror mounting assembly for a rearview mirror, including a housing connector having a first pivot member operably connected with an extension tube. A mount includes a windshield bracket and a sensor assembly. The windshield bracket is proximate to the sensor assembly and supports the sensor assembly against the vehicle windshield. A second pivot member includes a first end operably connected with the extension tube and a second end operably connected with the mount.

    Abstract: A rearview assembly is disclosed. The rearview assembly may comprise an electro-optic element, a display element, and/or a sensor. The electro-optic element may comprise first and second substrates, an electro-optic medium, and a spectral filter. The first and second substrates may be disposed in a substantially spaced apart relationship and may have first and second edges, respectively. The electro-optic medium is disposed between the first and second substrates. The spectral filter may be substantially opaque in appearance and disposed in a peripheral manner on the first substrate. Additionally, the first and second substrates have a substantial miss-match where a line bisecting the first substrate does not bisect the second substrate. The display element is operable to display a digital image. The sensor is operable to sense a condition and generate a signal based thereon. Additionally, the sensor may be optically aligned with the miss-match.

    Abstract: A display and window assembly includes a bezel that defines a first window aperture, a second window aperture, and a display aperture located between the first and second window apertures. A display unit is aligned with the display aperture, a first window is aligned with the first window aperture, and a second window is aligned with the second window aperture. The first window and the second window each include a front substrate that has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. A second substrate has a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface. The second and third surfaces face each other to define a gap. A first electrode is coupled to the second surface, and a second electrode is coupled to the third surface. An electro-optic medium is located between the first electrode and the second electrode.
