Abstract:
A combination is described of a tractor (10) and an implement (12) which is pulled by the tractor (10), by means of a draw bar (14) coupled to the tractor (10) so as to be pivotable about the vertical axis, is supported on the ground by wheels (28) and comprises a cultivating element (30) for cultivating a field (64). A control device (36) is used to activate a first actuator (40) with which the position of the draw bar (14) in relation to the implement (16) can be changed. The control device (36) activates the first actuator (40) in such a manner that the latter adjusts the draw bar (14) with the effect of moving the implement (16) towards an outside of a curve.
Abstract:
A system for presenting a crop sample to a crop property sensor is in particular suited for a harvesting machine and comprises a bypass line branching off from a crop feeding assembly, a conveyor for feeding the branched-off crop through the bypass line without damaging the crop, and a crop property sensor for sensing one or more properties of the crop in the bypass line. The bypass line is upwardly angled or extends vertical, such that the conveyor elevates the material from the crop guiding channel to the crop property sensor.
Abstract:
A measuring device for optical and spectroscopic examination of a sample includes a housing, a first light source, a window, an optical spectrometer with a dispersive element and a number of detector elements and which can record light from the first light source which is indirectly reflected by the sample and reenters the housing through the window, an electronic camera whose incidence opening is directed onto the sample, through the window, and an electronic evaluation device which is connected to an image sensor of the camera and to the detector elements. The camera may be assigned a second light source.
Abstract:
A tracking system employs at least one parameter for use in guiding an implement attached to a work machine, and includes a first global positioning system (GPS) receiver mounted on the work machine; a second GPS receiver mounted on the implement; and a controller configured to execute program instructions to determine the at least one parameter for use in guiding the implement, including: directing the work machine along a predetermined path; obtaining first position data from the first GPS receiver during the directing the work machine; obtaining second position data from the second GPS receiver during the directing the work machine; and determining the at least one parameter based on the first position data and the second position data.

Abstract:
A self-propelled crop harvester or one of the train of towing vehicle and towed implement for processing harvested crop are equipped with a measuring device for the measurement of components in and/or properties of harvested crop that is conveyed along a path and/or along which the measuring device is moved. The measuring device is an optical spectroscope which operates in the visible wavelength range and/or in the near infrared wavelength range. Measurements made are used to determine the amount of particular organic components contained in the harvested crop, such as carbohydrates, organic substances that can be dissolved in enzymes, oil and raw protein; and to determine the amount of non-organic components contained in the harvested crop, such as minerals, for example sodium and magnesium or water. Further parameters of the harvested crop are also measured including solid matter and raw fiber content, length of fibers, caloric or energy content, digestibility and color.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a measurement apparatus for detecting the mass flow of harvested crops which are conveyed by means of a conveyor. The measurement apparatus comprises a first measuring device for weighing the conveyor together with the conveyed harvested crops, a second measuring device for determining the volume of the harvested crops conveyed by the conveyor, and a computer device for determining the mass density of the harvested crops.
Abstract:
A measuring arrangement is associated with a branch channel of a channel through which crops flow. The measuring arrangement comprises a measuring device for detecting the constituents of a sample of a crop stream in the branch channel, where in the branch channel between an opening and the measuring device, a processing device is arranged for reducing in size or for squeezing the sample.

Abstract:
An arrangement for the automatic adjustment of the cut height of a front harvesting attachment on a harvesting machine for the harvesting of stalk-like plants. A controller is connected to a sensor and to an actuator that can adjust the cut height of the front harvesting attachment based on the detection by the sensor of at least one characteristic of the harvested crop material and can be repositioned as a function of the signal of the sensor.
