    Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to resource allocation for clients of multiple co-hosted virtual access points (VAPs). A method comprises determining, by an access point (AP), a plurality of trigger frames for a plurality of clients connected to a plurality of VAPs of the AP based at least in part on respective workload levels of the plurality of clients. A trigger frame indicates a resource unit of one of the plurality of VAPs available for at least one corresponding client to access to the VAP. The method also comprises transmitting, by the AP, the plurality of trigger frames in parallel to the plurality of clients. By transmitting separate trigger frames for different clients in parallel, the efficiency of trigger frames can be improved and higher quality of service and lower collision will be provided.

    Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for selecting a channel puncturing scheme based on channel qualities. A method comprises detecting channel interference between neighbor access points (APs), and determining whether a preamble puncturing needs to be enabled based on some puncturing conditions. After determining that a preamble puncturing needs to be enabled, scores for candidate puncturing patterns are calculated based on channel qualities of the sub-channels in the channel, and a proper puncturing pattern can be selected based on the respective scores. Embodiments of the present disclosure can help AP to achieve an effective and better puncturing scheme in real deployment.

    Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure relate to a method for decoding error correction. The method comprises detecting a failure of decoding a received frame. After the failure of decoding the received frame is detected, a type of the received frame is determined based on a probability that the received frame follows a prior frame of the received frame in a frame sequence. The method further comprises obtaining a template corresponding to the type of the received frame, and decoding the received frame based on the fixed values in the template. The template includes fixed values corresponding to the type of the received frame. With these implementations, correction ability of the decoding can be obviously improved with assistance of the constructed template.

    Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure, there is provided an approach for performing channel scan by utilizing a target wake time (TWT) mechanism. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a compound AP transmits, to an uplink AP, a request to negotiate a schedule for a TWT session. The compound AP receives a response to the request from the uplink AP. The response comprises timing information of the TWT session. Then, the compound AP performs channel scan during a sleep period determined from the timing information. Data transmission between the compound AP and the uplink AP is disabled during the sleep period. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an effective way for performing the channel scan, thereby ensuring data delivery and enhancing connection robustness between the compound AP and the uplink AP.

    Abstract: A network device may comprise a plurality of antennas; a processor; and a non-transitory computer readable medium storing a plurality of codebooks, each of the plurality of codebooks comprising instructions to test communication capabilities of the network device using a particular configuration of the plurality of antennas, in response to a first boot of the network device, the processor causing the network device to: load a first codebook of the plurality of codebooks; test the particular configuration of the plurality of antennas associated with the first codebook; store a first result comprising the communication capability of the first codebook; load a second codebook of the plurality of codebooks; test the particular configuration of the plurality of antennas associated with the second codebook; store a second result comprising the communication capability of the second codebook; and select the first codebook or the second codebook based on the first result or the second result.
