A combined location updating processing method is provided, including: receiving, by a mobility management network element, a combined location updating request sent by user equipment; if the user equipment cannot access a current location area due to an area restriction or an access restriction, deleting, by the mobility management network element, all non-emergency bearer contexts of the user equipment, and reserving only an emergency bearer context of the user equipment; and sending, by the mobility management network element, a location updating accept message to the user equipment according to the combined location updating request, where the location updating accept message includes instruction information, and the instruction information is used for instructing the user equipment to enter a circuit switched domain detached state. In addition, other two combined location updating processing methods, and related apparatuses and systems are provided.

A method and device for selecting an LTE network, relating to the technical field of communications, are disclosed in the present application are, which makes that a UE can returns to an LTE PLMN registered when CSFB is initiated after the CSFB service, thereby ensuring the continuity of PS service, avoiding an unnecessary inter-PLMN network switch and promoting the user experience. The method provided in the present application mainly comprises: performing, by a UE, a combined registration in the LTE PLMN; initiates, by the UE, a CSFB service to fall back to a 2G/3G network, and receiving an equivalent PLMN list in the 2G/3G network; adding, by the UE, identity information of the LTE PLMN to the equivalent PLMN list; performing, by the UE, a PLMN selection according to the equivalent PLMN list when the CSFB service ends.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a network name processing method and a mobility management network element. The network name processing method includes receiving a network name sent by a mobile switching centre/visitor location register MSC/VLR. The received network name is processed. The mobility management information message is sent to a terminal and according to a processing result based on the processed received network name to enable the terminal to display the network name of the registered network of the terminal. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the terminal always display the network name of the registered network of the terminal, thereby ensuring consistency in the network name display of the terminal, and improving user experience.

The user equipment sentence a message for location update according to a value of a temporary identity (TIN) used for next update. The method includes: receiving, by user equipment UE, a non-access stratum NAS security mode command message from a mobility management entity MME, where the NAS security mode command message carries first verification matching information used to verify UE capability information received by the MME; determining, by the UE based on the first verification matching information, whether the UE capability information received by the MME is consistent with UE capability information sent by the UE to the MME; and if the UE capability information received by the MME is consistent with the UE capability information sent by the UE to the MME, sending, by the UE, a NAS security mode complete message to the MME.
