    Abstract: This application relates to a communications method. The method in this application includes: receiving, by the wireless backhaul device, a message that is sent by a first network device and that is used to indicate the wireless backhaul device to be handed over to a second network device; and sending, by the wireless backhaul device to the second network device in a process in which the wireless backhaul device is handed over to the second network device or in a case in which the wireless backhaul device completes being handed over to the second network device, a message carrying information about a resource of a first link. This application is applicable to a handover procedure of the wireless backhaul device.
