The present invention relates to a lever arrangement (10) for a microtome (1). The lever arrangement (10) encompasses a first lever (11) and a second lever (12). The first lever (11) is mounted rotatably about a first axis (13) and is rotatable by an operator. The second lever (12) is mounted rotatably about a second axis (14). The first axis (13) is arranged substantially parallel to the second axis (14). The one lever (11) comprises two guidance surfaces (17, 18). The other lever (12) comprises a guidance segment (20). The guidance segment (20) coacts with the two guidance surfaces (17, 18) in such a way that a rotation of the first lever (11) in a first direction (23) rotates the second lever (12) in a target direction (25), and a rotation of the first lever (11) in a direction (24) opposite to the first direction (23) likewise rotates the second lever (12) in the target direction (25). The lever arrangement (10) according to the present invention makes possible an advance of a specimen in a microtome upon actuation of the lever arrangement (10) in two substantially opposite directions (23, 24).

The present invention relates to a crank drive system (10) of a shaft (11) of a microtome (1). The crank drive system (10) encompasses a first and a second shaft (11, 12). The first shaft (11) is rotatable with a crank (13). The first shaft (11) comprises a first transfer gear (14). The second shaft (12) comprises a second transfer gear (15). A rotation of the first shaft (11) is transferable from the first transfer gear (14) to the second transfer gear (15) of the second shaft (12). The second shaft (12) is thereby capable of being caused to rotate. To make possible, with a microtome (1), an advance or a lowering of the specimen (2) in two respective oppositely directed rotation directions with the same crank drive system (10), the crank drive system (10) according to the present invention is characterized in that a third transfer gear (16) is provided. The first transfer gear (14) is selectably engageable with the second transfer gear (15) or with the third transfer gear (16) so that as a result, while the rotation direction of the second shaft (12) is maintained, the rotation direction of the first shaft (11) is reversible.

A method for manufacturing Pu.sub.2 -containing crystals by oxidizing plutonium in a heavily contaminated nitric acid starting solution to Pu.sup.6+, precipitating ammonium plutonyl carbonate containing crystals by reaction with ammonium- and carbonate ions and subsequent separating and calcining of these crystals. The nitric acid solution with the oxidized Pu.sup.6+ as well as carbonate and/or acetate ions and NH.sub.3 are dosed into an aqueous starting solution of ammonium carbonate or ammonium acetate in a concentration such that the mol ratio of carbonate and/or acetate ions to the Pu.sup.6+ -ions in the solution is at least 4:1 and plutonium containing carbonato- or acetato complex compounds which remain dissolved in the receiver solution, are formed, while difficult-to-dissolve metal hydroxide compounds are precipitated. Thereupon NH.sub.3 and carbonate ions are added to precipitate the ammonium plutonyl carbonate containing crystals.

An apparatus is proposed for controlling the composition of the operating mixture in internal combustion engines. In this apparatus, a control of the air quantity is effected in accordance with the arbitrarily adjustable fuel quantity by throttling the air intake cross section and by remnant filling of the combustion chambers of the engine by means of recirculated exhaust gas. On the basis of the comparison of the aspirated air quantity with the injected fuel quantity by means of a differential pressure valve, a control pressure building up at a fixed throttle in a discharge line controlled by the differential pressure valve is generated as a control variable for an actuation device of the air throttle valve or for the exhaust recirculation valve in an exhaust recirculation line. On cold starting and warm-up of the engine, a substantially larger fuel quantity is simulated by the diversion of a portion of the compared fuel quantity, and thus a high control pressure is very rapidly attained, with the aid of which the fuel intake cross section is fully opened and the cross section of the exhaust recirculation line is completely closed. This diversion of the fuel is also effected, for instance at full load, whenever the intention is reliable prevention of exhaust recirculation.
