Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to creating a surface identifier using a shape memory material. In one implementation, a processor determines a first property value of the surface identifier associated with a first phase and a second property value of the surface identifier associated with a second phase. A manufacturing device may create a surface identifier using a shape memory material. In one implementation, the surface identifier is created in a manner that causes the surface identifier to exhibit the first property value when the shape memory material is in a first phase and to exhibit the second property value when the shape memory material is in a second phase.

Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure a method is described. According to the method, data associated with a variable data component is captured by a user computing device is received via a network. A user is authenticated by comparing biometric information for the user against a database of valid users. Responsive to an authentication of the user, role-based workflows are triggered. The role-based workflows are based on the biometric information for the user received from the user computing device and the data associated with the variable data component.

Abstract: According to an example, a three-dimensional (3D) printer may include a first delivery device to selectively deposit first liquid droplets onto a layer of build materials, in which the first liquid has a fusing radiation absorption property. The 3D printer may also include a fusing radiation generator to selectively emit fusing radiation at multiple ranges of wavelengths and at selected locations to selectively fuse the build materials and a controller to tune a range of wavelengths at which the fusing radiation generator is to emit fusing radiation based upon the fusing radiation absorbing property of the deposited first liquid, to determine the selected locations at which the fusing radiation at the tuned range of wavelengths is to be emitted, and to control the fusing radiation generator to selectively emit fusing radiation at the tuned range of wavelengths and onto the selected locations.

Abstract: An example apparatus may include a processor and a memory device including computer program code. The memory device and the computer program code may, with the processor, cause the apparatus to provide modified serialization codes for a first entity in a serialization flow to replace existing serialization codes for the first entity. In various examples, the modified serialization codes may have a representation of at least two different characters, and a number of instances of one of the characters in the representation of the modified serialization codes may be different from a number of instances of the one of the characters in the representation of the existing serialization codes. The memory device and the computer program code may further cause the apparatus to receive serialization codes from a second entity, the second entity being downstream in the serialization flow from the first entity; compare serialization codes from the second entity with the modified serialization codes; and verify the serialization codes from the second entity by determining if the serialization codes from the second entity are compatible with the modified serialization codes.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to keyword determination. In one implementation, a processor determines a summary of a text and identifies a keyword related to the text based on a comparison of the summary of the text to the remaining portion of the text. The processor may output the identified keyword.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to categorizing a target word based on word distance. A processor may determine a difference level threshold for a category based on difference levels between words associated with the category and determine difference levels between a target word and the words associated with the category. If one of the difference levels of the target word is below the threshold associated with the category, the processor outputs the category.

Abstract: In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a method for assessing print quality is described. According to the method, a printed mark is converted into a digital binary mark. A number of values are calculated for the digital binary mark. The number of values include at least a perimeter length value and a value describing a characteristic of an intensity histogram for the digital binary mark. A combined representation of the number of values for the digital binary mark are compared against a combined representation of a number of values for a model printed mark. When the combined representation for the digital binary mark is greater than a predefined distance away from the combined representation for the model printed mark, an operation of a printing device that generated the printed mark is adjusted.
