    摘要: There is provided a sound source characteristic determining device (10) capable of being applied in an environmental where the type of a sound source is unknown. The device includes a plurality of beamformers (21-1 to 21-M) used when a sound source signal generated from a sound source at an arbitrary position in a space is inputted to a plurality of microphones (14-1 to 14-N), for weighting the acoustic signal detected by each of the microphones by using a function for correcting the difference of the sound source signals generated between the microphones and outputting a totaled signal. Each of the beamformers (21-1 to 21-M) contains a function having a unit directivity characteristic corresponding to one arbitrary direction in the space and is arranged for each of the directions corresponding to an arbitrary position in the space and the unit directivity characteristic. The sound source characteristic determining device (10) further includes means (23) for estimating the position and the direction in the space corresponding to the beamformer outputting a maximum value as the position and the direction of the sound source when the microphone (14) detects a sound source signal.

    摘要: A neural network element, outputting an output signal in response to a plurality of input signals, comprises a history memory for accumulating and storing the plurality of input signals in a temporal order as history values. It also includes an output module for outputting the output signal when an internal state exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the internal state being based on a sum of the product of a plurality of input signals and corresponding coupling coefficients. The history values depend on change of the internal state. The neural network element is configured to subtract a predetermined value from the internal state immediately after the output module fires and performs learning for reinforcing or attenuating the coupling coefficient according to the history values after the output module fires.

    摘要: A system capable of reducing the influence of sound reverberation or reflection to improve sound-source separation accuracy. An original signal X(ω,f) is separated from an observed signal Y(ω,f) according to a first model and a second model to extract an unknown signal E(ω,f). According to the first model, the original signal X(ω,f) of the current frame f is represented as a combined signal of known signals S(ω,f−m+1) (m=1 to M) that span a certain number M of current and previous frames. This enables extraction of the unknown signal E(ω,f) without changing the window length while reducing the influence of reverberation or reflection of the known signal S(ω,f) on the observed signal Y(ω,f).

    摘要: The invention relates to a behavior control apparatus and method for autonomously controlling a mobile unit based on visual information in practical application without the needs of a greatdeal of preparation or computational cost and limiting the type of target object. According to one aspect of the invention, a method for controlling behavior of a mobile unit using behavior command is provided. First, sensory inputs are captured and then the motion of the mobile unit is estimated. The portion which includes a target object to be target for behavior of the mobile unit is segregated from the sensory inputs. The target objects extracted from the segregated portion and the location of the target object is acquired. Finally, the mobile unit is controlled based on the location of target object.
