    摘要: For each one note or for each plurality of notes constituting a reference tone, a segment setting section segments a time series of actual pitches of the reference tone into one or more note segments. For each of the one or more note segments, a relativization section creates a time series of relative pitches that are relative values of individual ones of the actual pitches of the reference tone to a normal pitch of the note of the note segment. Information registration section stores, into a storage device, relative pitch information comprising the time series of relative pitches of each individual one of the note segments. The segment setting section may use musical score data, time-serially designating the notes of the reference tone, to set each of the note segments for each note designated by the musical score data, and may correct at least one of start and end points of each of the set note segments in response to user's operation.

For example, such a method may involve determining beat locations of a first audio stream and a second audio stream and crossfading the first audio stream and the second audio stream such that the beat locations of the first audio stream are substantially aligned with the beat locations of the second audio stream. The beat locations of the first audio stream or the second audio stream may be determined based at least in part on an analysis of frequency data unpacked from one or more compressed audio files.

    摘要: At an apparatus (200), which may be a consumer electronic device, the user may select a predetermined number of different music attributes (Attr) descriptive of a mood delivered by music represented by music content of a music file. From parameters of a music file available in the apparatus (200), the apparatus (200) determines a first vector (m1(Dat)) descriptive of a relationship between the music content and all selected music attributes (Attr) and a second vector (m2(Dat)) and outputs a classification information related to the music file and containing the first and second vectors (m1(Dat), m2(Dat)). The classification information may be used to assign a colour to a displayed object assigned to the music file. Perceptually similar music files may be displayed in similar colours.

    摘要: The invention generally pertains to a hand-held computing device. More particularly, the invention pertains to a computing device that is capable of controlling the speed of the music so as to affect the mood and behavior of the user during an activity such as exercise. By way of example, the speed of the music can be controlled to match the pace of the activity (synching the speed of the music to the activity of the user) or alternatively it can be controlled to drive the pace of the activity (increasing or decreasing the speed of the music to encourage a greater or lower pace). One aspect of the invention relates to adjusting the tempo (or some other attribute) of the music being outputted from the computing device. By way of example, a songs tempo may be increased or decreased before or during playing. Another aspect of the invention relates to selecting music for outputting based on tempo (or some other attribute). For example, the computing device may only play songs having a particular tempo. Yet another aspect of the invention relates to both selecting music based on tempo and adjusting the tempo of the music.
