    摘要: The invention relates to a behavior control apparatus and method for autonomously controlling a mobile unit based on visual information in practical application without the needs of a greatdeal of preparation or computational cost and limiting the type of target object. According to one aspect of the invention, a method for controlling behavior of a mobile unit using behavior command is provided. First, sensory inputs are captured and then the motion of the mobile unit is estimated. The portion which includes a target object to be target for behavior of the mobile unit is segregated from the sensory inputs. The target objects extracted from the segregated portion and the location of the target object is acquired. Finally, the mobile unit is controlled based on the location of target object.

    摘要: A cell processing apparatus which executes processing for switching a short-packet in AAL Type 2 cell format has a separation processing unit and a restoration processing unit. The separation processing unit splits a short packet, which has a length greater than a length L (=48) bytes capable of being accommodated in one ATM cell, into two portions, accommodates significant data containing (1) one of the short-packet portions and (2) short-packet length information, in a payload area of the first ATM cell, accommodates remaining significant data including another short-packet portion, which could not be accommodated in the first ATM cell, in a payload area of the second ATM cell, and inputs the first and second ATM cells to an ATM switch. The restoration processing unit refers to the short-packet length information that has been accommodated in the first ATM cell output from the ATM switch, restores the original short packet, the length of which exceeds L bytes, using the short packet portions that have been accommodated in respective ones of the first and second ATM cells, and sends the restored short packet to a line in the AAL Type 2 cell format.

    摘要: An ATM switching apparatus applicable to a short cell including an ATM-SW outputting a cell from an output path corresponding to a cell identifier, an interface unit, a demultiplexer, and a multiplexer. The interface unit sets, when a cell storing a plurality of short cells is inputted, the cell identifier so that the cell is transmitted from ATM-SW to the demultiplexer, and outputs the cell toward the ATM-SW. The demultiplexer receives the cell and produces a plurality of partial fill cells, and outputs them, while setting an identifier of each partial fill cell, the partial fill cell is outputted. The multiplexer receives a plurality of the partial fill cells, produces a cell storing a plurality of the short cells in accordance with the identifiers and outputs the cell to the ATM-SW.

    摘要: A communication method is capable of preventing an occurrence a change of a route for an underway communication between a mobile node and a correspondent node in a communication network and restraining an unnecessary packet from being forwarded to the correspondent node from the mobile node. The communication method is executed among the mobile node having a home address assigned in a first network and a temporary address assigned in a second network, an agent device surrogating a communication using the home address in the first network and a correspondent terminal communicating with the mobile node through the agent device. When the mobile node moves to the second network, the mobile node transmits information containing the temporary address to the correspondent node, and the correspondent node receives the information containing the temporary address and transmits the information to the temporary address of the mobile node.
