摘要: In an image processing device, the processor performs: (a) setting, as target pixel data, each set of pixel data; (b) selecting, from among the plurality of sets of pixel data, a plurality of first sets of pixel data corresponding to a plurality of first pixels positioned within a prescribed range of the image; (c) determining whether the plurality of first sets of pixel data represents a white background; (d) determining whether a variation in color difference components among the plurality of first sets of pixel data satisfies a prescribed condition; and (e) determining that target pixel data includes mosquito noise when the plurality of first sets of pixel data represents the white background and when the variation in the color difference component among the plurality of first sets of pixel data satisfies the prescribed condition. The prescribed range includes a pixel corresponding to the target pixel data.

摘要: In the image-reader, a first reading unit generates the first surface worth of first image data by reading a first surface of an document sheet. The second reading unit generates the second surface worth of second image data by reading a second surface. The process surface determining unit determines which of the first surface and the second surface is a process surface. The parameter storing unit stores a first parameter that corresponds to the first surface and a second parameter that corresponds to the second surface. The selecting unit selects one of the first parameter and the second parameter as a process parameter that corresponds to the process surface. The selecting unit outputs the process parameter. The image process executing unit executes an image process on the one of the first image data and the second image data by using the process parameter.

摘要: A magnetic tape cassette has a front end opening adjoining an underside cutout formed in the bottom of a cassette casing. The underside cut-out is openably covered by a sliding shutter member. A torsion spring is employed for biasing the sliding shutter member toward its closed position. The torsion spring is secured to the sliding shutter member and has an extension abutting around the lateral center portion of the inner surface of the cassette casing so as to bias the sliding shutter member frontwardly toward the closed position. The torsion spring thus provides an improved appearance and better productability with simplified mounting structure therefor.

摘要: An image recognition apparatus, method and program capable of discriminatively recognizing an object at an enhanced recognition rate despite an increase in the total number of reference images registered in image databases. When any individual person or public corporation for example is to be specified from the object image obtained by shooting the person or the like, one image database of the attribute corresponding to various situations, or familiarity to the object image is selected automatically, and then the person or corporation is specified from the shot image while referring to the reference images stored in the image database of the selected attribute. Therefore, even if the sum of the reference images is increased, since they are subdivided and classified corresponding to the attributes, the number of the reference images for each attribute can be reduced, and further the image database of the optimal attribute can be selected automatically in conformity to the situation of recognition such as date, time and so on. Thus, the number of the reference images can be minimized without the user's intentional manipulation, and the reference images are narrowed down due to the additional information of the situation.

摘要: In an apparatus for smoothly winding a magnetic tape on reels of a tape cassette; the cassette is positioned in a holder and has a leader tape wound, at its ends, on the cassette reels, and being withdrawn from the cassette housing by a pair of guide rollers movable away from the cassette in the holder, a splicing device severs the withdrawn leader tape and connects one end of the severed leader tape to an end of a magnetic tape from an external source, and a winding smoothing element, for example, in the form of a roller, is moved into contact with a tape winding face of one of the reels and with successive turns of the magnetic tape wound on such face as that one reel is driven so that the magnetic tape is regularly and smoothly wound on the reel and looseness of the wound tape is avoided.
