    Abstract: This application relates to the field of communication technologies, and discloses methods and apparatuses for determining evaluation time for downlink transmission quality monitoring, to dynamically determine evaluation time for downlink transmission quality monitoring based on a quantity of available reference signals and an expected quantity of available reference signals in the evaluation time. An example method includes: receiving first indication information from a network device, where the first indication information indicates channel occupancy time of the network device; determining a first quantity based on the first indication information, where the first quantity is a quantity of available reference signals in first evaluation time; and determining the first evaluation time based on the first quantity and a second quantity, where the second quantity is an expected quantity of available reference signals in the first evaluation time.
