Abstract: Embodiments are related to augmented reality based comparative learning of machine functionality. An augmented reality (AR) device identifies that a new action is to be performed on a first machine, the first machine being viewable by a user using the AR device, where the new action is configured to be performed by the user using at least one component of the first machine. The AR device obtains a digital representation of a second machine, the digital representation being associated with an equivalent action to the new action. A first outcome of the new action and a second outcome of the equivalent action are determined to be equivalent. The AR device displays the equivalent action of the digital representation of the second machine overlaid on the first machine such that the equivalent action of the digital representation is viewable to the user.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for controlling access to a computing device based on one or more facial expression configurations of a user. The method captures the one or more facial expression configurations of the user, and matches the captured one or more facial expression configurations of the user with one or more defined facial expression configurations, wherein the one or more defined facial expression configurations are associated with one or more access permissions, or actions to be performed by the computing device. The method further grants the one or more access permissions to the user based on the match, and/or performs the action associated with the match. In additional embodiments, the method may further create one or more user profiles of the user, wherein each of the one or more user profiles is configured to include one or more access permissions.

Abstract: Generating image training data for training an autonomous photography agent to learn the preferences and photo-taking styles of a given set of human users. The preferences and/or photo-taking styles include, but are not necessarily limited, to: (i) human users of a certain age group (such as toddlers or adults); (ii) profession of the photo-taker (professional photographer rather than a hobbyist); (iii) health status of the photo-taker; and/or (iv) travel status of the photo-taker (such as a tourist in a new city rather than a resident of a given city).

Abstract: A baseline virtual machine (VM) instance is created within a protected secure environment from a production VM image. The baseline VM instance is a protected clone of a production VM instance created within a deployed environment from the production VM image. VM instance information of the baseline VM instance is collected during a startup process of the baseline VM instance within the protected secure environment. First baseline validity code is generated from the collected VM instance information of the baseline VM instance. VM instance information of the production VM instance is collected during a startup process of the production VM instance within the deployed environment. First production validity code is generated from the collected VM information of the production VM instance. A determination is made as to whether there is an error in the production VM instance by comparing the first baseline validity code and the first production validity code.

Abstract: Mechanisms are provided to implement a recurring payment collection system for extending current quick response (QR) code payment methods to collect recurring payments from a customer. The recurring payment collection system sends a notification to the customer that a recurring payment is due in response to a recurring payment event occurring. The recurring payment collection system obtains a QR code for the recurring payment in response to the customer acknowledging the notification. The recurring payment collection system utilizes the QR code to request the recurring payment from a payment system. The recurring payment collection system acknowledges that the recurring payment has been made in responsive to the recurring payment being processed by the payment system.
