Abstract: A positional sensing system includes a plurality of positional sensing devices which are situated at regular intervals within an environment and collect data for tracking objects moving within the environment. The positional sensing system is used to determine the occupancy and trajectories of people within the environment. The system can determine whether certain areas of the environment need to be cleaned based on occupancy. When a threshold level of use is detected for one or more areas of the environment, the positional sensing system dynamically determines that one or more areas require cleaning, and can generate a cleaning plan for the one or more areas. The positional sensing system can determine an optimal cleaning route through the environment based on the location of one or more areas. Once the cleaning plan is generated, the system can provide the cleaning plan to a user of the positional sensing system for utilization.

Abstract: A method for planning and/or optimizing an in-person trip includes: determining, based on a user interaction between a user and a user device, that the user has an in-person-action intention associated with a particular location; obtaining a list of elements designated by the user for in-person action; identifying at least one entity associated with the particular location; determining at least one location at the at least one entity associated with at least one element on the list; generating directions that indicate a path through the at least one entity and to the at least one location associated with the at least one element; receiving an indication from the user device that the user device has determined that the user has arrived at the at least one entity; and in response to receiving the indication, causing the user device to output the directions.

Abstract: The recommendation method is a recommendation method of recommending a stop location to a user based on a predetermined rule. The recommendation method includes a receiving step of receiving input of feedback information indicating whether or not recommendation of a stop location is appropriate by a user, a determination step of determining whether or not feedback information satisfies an improvement condition related to a predetermined rule, and an updating step of updating a predetermined rule based on the feedback information when it is determined that the feedback information satisfies the improvement condition.

Abstract: A system comprising one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions that, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform: receiving requests for at least two pick-walks to fulfill multiple orders; mapping each of the multiple items to respective aisles within at least a single portion of the location; calculating, using core logic, a minimum distance for each one of two or more pick-walks to fulfill the multiple orders, wherein the two or more pick-walks are revised through multiple iterations; generating the at least two pick-walks based on the two or more pick-walks; and transmitting the at least two pick-walks to the at least two pickers. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for configuring a battery pack. Parcel delivery instructions including parcel level information, at least one electric vehicle property, and a first location and one or more destinations are received. A trained artificial intelligence model is used to extract an expected battery consumption of the electric vehicle for each of the plurality of potential routes, and to identify a delivery route that has a lowest expected battery consumption. Battery service options are mapped along the delivery route. Simulations of the electric vehicle completing the delivery are performed. A size of a battery pack to be used with the electric vehicle at a start of the delivery route at the first location is configured, and a battery pack service schedule for servicing the battery pack between the first location and the one or more destinations is configured, as a function of the multiple simulations.

Abstract: A method for using a neural network to generate an improved graph model includes receiving, by the neural network, a graph model. The graph model is based on data relating to an environment for allocating resources to a first group and a second group. The method further includes receiving, by the neural network, a budget for editing the graph model based on a cost of corresponding modification to the environment, and determining, by the neural network, a fairness representation based on a fairness requirement between the first and second groups. It is determined by the neural network, a utility function for the graph model based on first and second group utilities representing resource allocation to the first and second groups respectively. Reinforcement learning is performed on the neural network to generate the improved graph model using the utility function and the fairness representation.

Abstract: One variation of a method for deploying a robotic system to scan inventory within a store includes: retrieving generic recommended baseline scan frequencies assigned to a set of product types stocked in the store; annotating a map of the store according to generic recommended baseline scan frequencies and locations of the set of product types in the store; overwriting baseline scan frequencies assigned to locations in the store based on inputs from the user; accessing elapsed times since capture of last images of slots in the store, assigned to these product types, by the robotic system; calculating urgency scores for imaging these slots proportional to differences between elapsed times and scan frequencies; and calculating a scan route traversable by the robotic system to preferentially locate, within the field of view of the robotic system, locations in the store associated with higher urgency scores over locations associated with lower urgency scores.
