摘要: A sewing machine has at least one sewing head having a presser foot which is vertically reciprocally moved by a predetermined stroke in synchronism with a vertical movement of a needle bar. After completion of the sewing operation, an upper thread is cut in a position spaced by a suitable distance from a sewing needle mounted on the needle bar. A refuge mechanism is operable to move the presser foot to a refuge position for giving refuge to a part of the upper thread on the side of the sewing needle cut after completion of the sewing operation. The refuge position is out of the predetermined stroke.

摘要: In an embroidery machine according to the present invention, at least one of driving mechanisms required for embroidery sewing has a driving source independent of the other driving mechanisms, and a control device is provided to control the driving source and those of the other driving mechanisms to be synchronously driven. With this construction, as for the driving mechanism having the independent driving source, since an interlocking mechanism can be omitted, the construction can be simplified, so that vibrations or noises can be reduced. Further with a control signal from the control device, a timing of operation of the driving mechanism having the independent drive source can be freely determined according to the embroidery mode.

摘要: An embroidering machine or other sewing machine generally has a large number of data setting and selection functions. In this invention, function switches of a predetermined number which is smaller than the number of setting and selection functions are provided and a setting or selection function to be assigned to each of the function switches is switched. A display for explaining setting and selection functions which are currently assigned to each function switch is made. This function explanation display may be made by characters or by figures symbolizing these functions. Further, switch patterns may be displayed on a screen of a display device in a desired arrangement and a switch pattern corresponding to a desired setting or selection function to be selected may be selected and designated by designating the position of the switch pattern in the screen.

摘要: Disclosed herein is an embroidery machine having a table on which a cloth is spread to be fed, and a plurality of heads disposed above the table in parallel relation to each other, each of the heads having a needle for forming embroidery stitches on the cloth, the needle having an axis of rotation which is the origin of the X and Y axes of the Cartesian coordinates with respect to the table, including a frame placed on the table and horizontally movable in the directions of the X and Y axes in response to signals produced by a control unit for feeding the cloth; a feed plate provided horizontally under the cloth and adapted to move horizontally in the direction where the frame is moved and to return independently to its original position; and a cloth-pressing member vertically movably surrounding the needle for cooperating with the feed plate so as to tightly hold the cloth around the needle location therebetween, the cloth-pressing member being adapted to move horizontally in any direction around the needle and to return independently to its original position; the feed plate and the cloth-pressing member, when the frame moves horizontally, synchronously moving in the same direction where the frame moves; the cloth-pressing member moving upwardly to release the cloth around the needle location prior to the subsequent horizontal movement of the frame; and the feed plate and the cloth-pressing member returning to their respective original positions.

Threading mechanism passes the sewing thread, fed via the thread feed port connected by the connecting member to the thread insertion port of the looper, into the thread insertion port and causes the sewing thread to be taken out via the inserted thread lead-out port of the looper.

摘要: Sewing machine includes a tension detection section (26) for detecting tension acting on a sewn material (A) paid out from a rotary holder member, and a drive section for driving the rotary holder member, and the driving operation of the drive section (14) is controlled on the basis of the detection by the tension detection section. Once the tension acting on the sewn material has increased, the rotary holder member is driven to rotate by the drive section, so that the sewn material can be paid out smoothly from the rotary holder member. The sewing machine is particularly useful in a case where the rotary holder member is constructed into an increased size so that an increased amount of the sewn material can be wound thereon.

摘要: A sewing machine main frame includes an upper support member, and a lower support member positioned in substantially parallel relation to the upper support member with a predetermined interval therebetween and integrally joined with each other via a joint member. A supporting leg section is attached to a predetermined position of the main frame to support the main frame in a substantially horizontal orientation at a predetermined height. The main frame and supporting leg section are provided as separate component parts. Because the main frame is constructed of the upper and lower support members integrally joined via the joint member, the main frame and the supporting leg section can be transported to a predetermined assembling place before the supporting leg section is attached to the main frame.

摘要: Illuminating device includes a plurality of LEDs positioned at intervals so as to form a linear LED array generally corresponding to an array line along which needle bars are provided, and a lens for gathering emitted light from the LEDs to thereby generate a linear light beam corresponding to the array line. The illuminating device provided in each machine head is controlled, independently of the illuminating devices of the other machine heads, in response to an operating state of the machine head. Thus, it is possible to not only generate, at low cost, a linear light beam suited to illumination of areas around the points of a plurality of needles arranged in a linear array, but also appropriately control the needle point illumination for the plurality of machine heads.
