Abstract:
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of Fine Timing Measurement (FTM). For example, a first wireless station may be configured to transmit an FTM request message to a second wireless station; to transmit a first Non Data Packet (NDP) to the second wireless station; to process an FTM response message from the second wireless station; and to process a second NDP from the second wireless station.
Abstract:
For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless communication station (STA) to determine a plurality of uplink (UL) sounding groups of STAs; transmit at least one trigger frame to at least one UL sounding group of the plurality of UL sounding groups to trigger a measurement procedure with the UL sounding group, the trigger frame including one or more Identifiers (IDs) to identify one or more STAs of the UL sounding group; to receive one or more UL Null Data Packet (NDP) sounding frames from the one or more STAs of the UL sounding group in response to the trigger frame; to transmit a downlink (DL) NDP Announcement (NDP-A) frame to the plurality of UL sounding groups; and to transmit a DL NDP sounding frame to the plurality of UL sounding groups.
Abstract:
The disclosure generally relates to a method and apparatus for using a location token to locate a mobile device in a mapped environment. In one embodiment, the disclosure relates to identifying an AP in the environment using an AP location token. By finding a map from a map vendor which has a substantially identical map token, the AP and the map may be matched together. Once the AP is matched to the map, its exact location will be known. The location of a mobile device may be determined in relation to the AP's location. The same process may be used to identify the location of several APs on a map and thereby identify the location of the mobile device relative to the APs.
Abstract:
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of Multi User (MU) Fine Timing Measurement (FTM). For example, a wireless station may be configured to transmit a trigger frame including a resource allocation of a plurality of resource slots to a plurality of wireless stations; to process a plurality of Non-Data Packet (NDP) transmissions from the plurality of wireless stations according to the resource allocation; to transmit an NDP; and to transmit a MU FTM message including timing information corresponding to the NDP and timing information corresponding to the plurality of NDP transmissions from the plurality of wireless stations.
Abstract:
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of one-sided location measurement. For example, an apparatus may include circuitry and logic configured to cause a wireless station to transmit an announcement element to announce a Non-Data Packet (NDP) sounding transmission including a plurality of sounding preambles, the announcement element including at least a measurement type field to indicate a type of a one-sided location measurement, and one or more configuration fields including configuration information to configure the one-sided location measurement based on the NDP sounding transmission; and to transmit the NDP sounding transmission subsequent to the announcement element.
Abstract:
For example, a mobile station may process a plurality of frames from a plurality of wireless stations, a frame from a wireless station including a ToD of the frame according to a local clock of the wireless station; process timing synchronization information corresponding to the plurality of wireless stations, timing synchronization information corresponding to the wireless station to indicate one or more synchronization offsets between the local clock of the wireless station and one or more other wireless stations of the plurality of wireless stations; and determine a plurality of ToF measurements between the mobile station and the plurality of wireless stations by determining a ToF measurement between the mobile station and the wireless station based on the ToD of the frame from the wireless station, a ToA of the frame from the wireless station, and at least the timing synchronization information corresponding to the wireless station.

Abstract:
Embodiments for performing access point position determination using crowd sourcing are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a range report request is received, by at least one mobile device, from a network entity for determining a position of a plurality of access points (APs). The at least one mobile device performs range measurements on each of the plurality of APs at different locations. A range report associated with the range measurements performed on each of the plurality of APs is sent to the network entity by the at least one mobile device.
Abstract:
Examples are disclosed for determining a time-of-flight (ToF) of a wireless signal in a multipath wireless environment. In some examples a method for determining a time-of-flight (ToF) of a wireless signal in a multipath wireless environment may comprise receiving two or more wireless signals over a wireless communication channel from wireless device, determining a maximum likelihood solution for identifying a line-of-sight (LoS) signal of the two or more wireless signals, reducing the complexity of the maximum likelihood solution, determining a time that maximizes the reduced complexity maximum likelihood solution, and determining the ToF of the LoS signal based on the reduced complexity maximum likelihood solution and the determined time. Other examples are described and claimed.

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, devices, systems and methods of range estimation. For example, a mobile device may include a radio to receive from an Access Point (AP) statistical channel information of a plurality of wireless communication channels in a region covered by the AP; a channel estimator to estimate, based on the statistical channel information, a time of arrival (ToA) of a wireless communication signal from the AP via a line of sight (LOS) channel between the AP and the mobile device; and a range estimator to estimate a range between the mobile device and the AP based on the ToA.
