    摘要: Provided are an apparatus, method, and medium for generating a panoramic image. In the apparatus, a previously captured image and a currently captured image are projected onto a predetermined curved surface so as to form a first mapping image and a second mapping image, respectively. Movement values in predetermined directions are calculated for maximizing a color similarity between overlapped sections of the first and second mapping images. A panoramic image is generated using the first and second mapping images and the calculated movement values. Therefore, overlapped sections of neighboring images can be precisely superposed and aligned when a panoramic image is generated using a series of images.

    摘要: The present invention relates to the field of biomarkers and, more specifically, to biomarkers useful in diagnosing aggressive prostate cancer. In specific embodiments, a method for diagnosing aggressive prostate cancer in a patient comprises (a) measuring the levels of one or more biomarkers in a sample collected from the patient; and (b) comparing the levels of the one or more biomarkers with predefined levels of the same biomarkers that correlate to a patient having aggressive prostate cancer and predefined levels of the same biomarkers that correlate to a patient not having aggressive prostate cancer, wherein a correlation to one of the predefined levels provides the diagnosis. In a specific embodiment, the one or more biomarkers may comprise cathepsin-L (CTSL), periostin, microfibrillar-associated protein 4 (MFAP4), collagen XII, neprilysin, clusterin, neutrophil gelatinase associated lipocalin (NGAL), epithelial cell activating molecule (EpCAM), prostate specific antigen (PSA), membrane metallo-endopeptidase (MME) and asporin (ASPN).

    摘要: A system for and method of allocating a resource to a service request based on application of a persistence policy is described. In one embodiment, upon or after allocation of a resource to a resource request, an entry representing the allocation is made in a data structure using a first index derived from information relating to the resource request if such is available. An entry representing the allocation is also made in the data structure using a second index derived from information relating to the resource request. When a resource request is received, the data structure is accessed using the first index if such is available. If an entry corresponding to the first index is available, the resource corresponding to the entry is allocated to the request. If the first index or an entry corresponding to the first index is unavailable, the data structure is accessed using the second index. If an entry corresponding to the second index is available, the resource corresponding to the entry is allocated to the request. If an entry corresponding to the second index is unavailable, a resource is allocated to the request based on application of a load balancing policy or other persistence policy. One or more entries are then made in the table corresponding to the new allocation.

    摘要: Techniques that offer enhanced diversity in the selection of paths (e.g., ECMP paths) and/or ports from ports associated with trunks for forwarding data traffic. In one embodiment, one or more functions are used to generate a result. A first portion of the generated result may be used as an index (e.g., ECMP index) for selecting a path (e.g., an ECMP path) from multiple possible paths for forwarding a packet. A second portion of the generated result, different from the first portion, may be used as an index (trunk index) for selecting an output port from multiple output ports associated with a trunk for forwarding a packet. In this manner, selected portions of the generated result may be used as indices, one for selecting a path and another for selecting a trunk port for forwarding packets such that the two indices are not the same and are not dependent upon one another.

    摘要: Several attempts have been tried to improve the performance of intra-prediction in video encoding and decoding, which are targeting at pixel level parallelization. However, the prior art methods provide no solution for implementing an improved intra-prediction method on a parallel processing platform. The present invention uses estimated predictors instead of reconstructed exact predictors. This enables faster estimation of predictors, and allows an encoder to perform intra-prediction for all blocks of at least a portion of an image simultaneously. A method for encoding image data, a device for encoding image data, a method for decoding image data and a device for decoding image data are disclosed.
