摘要： A latch device latches a fast forward button when the same is depressed. A sensor releases the latch device and thereby the fast forward button upon sensing a blank area on a magnetic tape. The latch device comprises a ferromagnetic lever which is pivotally connected to the fast forward button and is engageable with a magnet when the fast forward button is in the depressed position. The lever is configured to provide a mechanical advantage for holding the fast forward button in the depressed position. The magnet may be an electromagnet which is de-energized when the sensor senses the blank area on the tape. Alternatively, the magnet may be a permanent magnet and an electromagnet provided to neutralize the force of the permanent magnet on the lever when the electromagnet is energized.

摘要： A cassette-type magnetic tape recorder/player has a movable plate mounted on its deck for reciprocating movement between reproduction and non-reproduction positions. At least a second slide member is also mounted on the deck and likewise biased toward the reproduction position. The movable plate carries a magnetic head and a pivotally mounted pinch roller which engages a rotatably driven capstan mounted on the deck. The second slide member can be manually moved to a second position where it engages and moves a magnetic actuator which, in turn, serves to pivot the pinch roller out of contact with the capstan. The magnetic actuator is surrounded by an electromagnetic coil which serves, when activated, to hold the magnetic actuator in the position where it disengages the pinch roller. The coil is activated responsive to the detection of blank zones on the magnetic tape.

摘要： A polyphase motor having a stator with an armature coil for each phase energized from a D. C. source by a semiconductor circuit. In addition to magnet means on the rotor which respond to the polarity caused by the D. C. current flowing across the armature coils, there is a rotating control band on the rotor with a written position indicator thereon. Disposed on the stator at a location where the written signals on the position indicator can be read are position sensing reading means. These reading means are coupled to the semiconductor stator circuit which in turn controls the flow of current from the D. C. source across the armature coils in accordance with the signals read on the control band.

摘要： In a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus having a plurality of push-buttons for directing changeover of tape drive modes, a simple and compact mechanism for effecting mode changeover including an idler, a reciprocating member, sliding actuating bars and an alternative-selection mechanism, all operated by the motive force from a motor-driven capstan. The idler is mounted for movement into and out of contact with a wheel mounted for rotation with the capstan and the reciprocating member moves responsive to the movement of the idler. The idler can be carried to a position spaced from the capstan wheel by the movement of the reciprocating member. Actuating bars, one associated with each push-button, are engaged and disengaged with the reciprocating member by an alternative selection mechanism. By manually depressing one of the push-buttons, the idler is brought into contact with the capstan wheel, and the corresponding actuating bar is brought into engagement with the reciprocating member, thus effecting the selected mode changeover.
