Abstract:
A multi-part form includes a wristband with related tags and labels. The tags are configured for mounting on the wristband after the wristband has been secured to a person of object to be identified. The multi-part form is also configured with a wristband portion separate from a plurality of utility groups, each of which is separate from the other, by a street devoid of media layer. The layers that comprise the multi-part form are preferably solvent resistant so as to make the identification products more durable and longer lasting.
Abstract:
A closure mechanism receiving aperture presents a substantially contiguous, uninterrupted planar surface on a flexible medium, primarily for use with identification devices, i.e., wristbands. The aperture does not interrupt the printable area so that printer ink may be printed over the aperture without passing through. The inventive aperture also does not produce waster material or chads which can jam or foul-up a printer. An inventive wristband includes both snap closure and adhesive closure mechanisms that can be used at the same time.
Abstract:
A circuit for transitioning between a discontinuous and a fixed frequency continuous conduction mode (DCM) and (CCM) of a power converter having a driver receiving PWM signals and controlling a switching stage comprises a control switch and a sync switch connected at a common switching node for driving a load. The circuit including a PWM modulator for providing PWM signals; and a mode selector for receiving a duty cycle value, a preset switching period, and a duty cycle at a critical conduction point having a switching frequency equal to the preset switching period and providing an on-time of the control switch and a switching period to the PWM modulator, wherein if the duty cycle value is greater than the duty cycle at a critical conduction point, the PWM modulator will drive will provide the PWM signals to operate the switching stage in the CCM with constant-frequency duty cycle control, and if the duty cycle value is less than duty cycle at a critical conduction point, the PWM modulator will drive will provide the PWM signals to operate the switching stage in the DCM by turning off the sync switch when a load current becomes negative.
Abstract:
The present invention is a method for modifying any synthetically generated assay of a whole crude oil or a portion of a whole crude, such as a condensate or resid material, by using measured crude properties. These measured properties are used to adjust the synthesized assay values to obtain a more accurate representation of the unknown hydrocarbon material.
Abstract:
A stable and efficacious antiplaque, anticalculus, and antigingivitis oral composition is provided having an antibacterial ingredient comprising one or more active compounds found in an extract of magnolia combined with an anticalculus system comprising tetrasodium pyrophosphate (TSPP) about 1 to about 2.5% and sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) about 1 to about 10%. The oral composition can be in the form of a mouth rinse or dentifrice, including toothpaste, gels, powders, as well as confectionaries, lozenges, and the like. Methods of making and using the oral composition are also provided.
Abstract:
The current invention is an improvement to the method of U.S. Pat. No. 6,662,116 B2. Specifically, the current invention provides means for comparing the quality of property predictions made using different sets of known (reference) materials and different inspection inputs such that the most accurate prediction is obtained. Further, the current invention increases the flexibility of using viscosity data in the method of U.S. Pat. No. 6,662,116 B2.
Abstract:
This application discloses a method for assembling a scrub brush having a plurality of bristles integrally on one side of a thermoplastic backing and an open-cell organic sponge bonded to the other side of the backing by carrying out successively the following steps:a) forming the thermoplastic brush and bristles;b) melting a plurality of protrusions on the side of the backing away from the bristles with applied heat;c) placing the sponge on the molten protrusions; andd) maintaining contact between the molten protrusions and the sponge;whereby the molten protrusions are drawn by capillarity into the stroma network of the sponge.
Abstract:
An active, low-profile hydrophone for use in aquatic environments having substantially turbulent flow conditions. The hydrophone is generally pisciform such that it may lie substantially flat on the water bottom and oriented in the current so as to reduce ambient noise associated with the turbulent flow. The enclosed sensors are oriented such that they are insensitive to acceleration and are coupled to a unity gain amplifier network also contained within the hydrophone.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an improved cold water soluble gelatin and a process of preparing it. The improved cold water soluble gelatin is prepared by a process which includes the steps of preparing an aqueous solution comprising water, gelatin and sugar containing corn syrup solids and maltodextrin, drying the solution and comminuting and screening the dried material so obtained to a particle size from about 20 to about 200 U.S. mesh wherein at least about 40 percent by weight of the particles will pass through U.S. mesh greater than 100.
Abstract:
An electrical junction box assembly includes a junction box that has a power input, a hot terminal block, a ground terminal block and neutral terminal block. A plurality of electrical couplers is each in electrical communication with the hot terminal block and the ground terminal block and the neutral terminal block. A plurality of extension cables is each attachable to a respective one of the electrical couplers such that each of the extension cables is in electrical communication with the power input. Each of the extension cables is electrically coupled to a respective electronic device thereby facilitating the respective electronic device to be in electrical communication with the power input. In this way the extension cables supply the respective electronic device with electrical power without requiring permanent electrical wiring to be installed.
