    Abstract: A display device includes a first substrate provided with a display region including a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix, each of the plurality of pixels having a plurality of sub-pixels, and a second substrate provided with color filters and a light-shielding film, the color filters including transmission regions selectively transmitting lights of specific colors for the respective sub-pixels, the light-shielding film blocking light. The plurality of sub-pixels include a first sub-pixel provided with the transmission region that transmits light of a first color, and a second sub-pixel provided with the transmission region that transmits light of a second color having a luminosity factor lower than that of the light of the first color. A difference in area between a light-emitting region and the transmission region in the second sub-pixel is smaller than a difference in area between a light-emitting region and the transmission region in the first sub-pixel.

The plurality of pixels each include a plurality of sub pixels demarcated by the banks; the sealing substrate includes red, blue and green color filters; the plurality of sub pixels each include an effective light emission area and a light-blocked area; the effective light emission area of the blue color filter has an area size larger than that of each of the effective light emission area of the red and green color filter; and an effective light emission area of one sub pixel adjacent to the sub pixel including the blue color filter is located at a position closest, in the one sub pixel, to the light-blocked area of the sub pixel including the blue color filter.

    Abstract: Provided is a display device that even in the case where microlenses are formed to increase the light extraction efficiency, can decrease damage on an OLED caused by the production of the microlenses. The display device includes a first substrate; light emitting elements provided on the first substrate and located in correspondence with pixels arrayed in a matrix; a second substrate; a light collection layer provided on the second substrate and including, on the side facing the light emitting elements, at least one convex lens in correspondence with each of the pixels; and a light-transmissive layer that is provided between the first substrate and the second substrate so as to be in contact with the lens and has a refractive index lower than that of the light collection layer.

    Abstract: An organic electroluminescence display device includes a substrate; a thin film transistor that is formed on the substrate; a light emitting region that has a lower electrode, a light emitting layer, and an upper electrode formed for each of a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix shape on the thin film transistor; and a contact hole that is formed on the outside of the light emitting region in one corner portion of the pixel and connects the thin film transistor and the lower electrode for each pixel in a plan view. Only one pair of pixels of four pixels that share an intersection point of boundaries of the pixels arranged in the matrix shape, which are arranged in a diagonal manner have the contact holes at the corner portions having the intersection point.
