The methods basically comprise the steps of preparing a pumpable, water compatible, corrosion resistant, hardenable epoxy sealing composition comprised of a hardenable epoxide containing liquid and a hardening agent, placing the epoxy sealing composition in the annulus between a string of pipe and a well bore penetrating a disposal zone and allowing the epoxy sealing composition to harden.

摘要: The present invention provides improved foamed well cement compositions and methods. The foamed cement compositions have improved properties and are basically comprised of hydraulic cement, amorphous silica surface treated with a mixture of organosilane coupling agents, sufficient water to form a slurry, sufficient gas to foam the slurry and a mixture of foaming and foam stabilizing surfactants present in an amount sufficient to facilitate the formation of the foam and stabilize the foamed composition.

摘要: The present invention relates to improved methods and compositions for sealing subterranean zones penetrated by well bores to reduce their permeabilities and increase their compressive strengths. The methods basically comprise the steps of introducing an aqueous sealing composition into a subterranean zone comprising a polymerizable monomer, a polymerization initiator, a hardenable epoxide containing liquid and a hardening agent, placing the sealing composition by way of the well bore into the subterranean zone and allowing the sealing composition to polymerize and harden whereby the well bore is sealed.

摘要: The present invention provides methods of modifying the properties of a subterranean stratum penetrated by a well bore to increase the resistance of the stratum to shear failure. The methods basically include the steps of preparing a hardenable epoxy composition having flexibility upon hardening including an epoxide containing liquid or an epoxy resin and an epoxide containing liquid and a hardening agent. The epoxy composition is pumped into the subterranean stratum by way of the well bore and by way of the porosity of the stratum and then allowed to harden in the stratum.
