摘要： An electrical connector includes an outer shell defining an inner cavity, wherein the outer shell includes a shell alignment element and a solder tab having a substantially flat solder tab engagement surface for surface mounting to a circuit board. An inner member is received within the inner cavity, and the inner member includes a dielectric member having a dielectric alignment element engaging the shell alignment element for positioning the dielectric member with respect to the outer shell. The dielectric member includes a contact cavity extending axially through the dielectric member. A contact is received within the contact cavity, and the contact includes a contact engagement surface for surface mounting to the circuit board. The contact and solder tab engagement surfaces are aligned in a predetermined planar arrangement.

摘要： A cable connector is provided. The cable connector includes a connector housing having a cavity for receiving a contact along an axis, and the cavity has a protrusion therein. The protrusion extends through the axis so that as the contact is inserted into the cavity along the axis, the contact is deflected by the protrusion until the contact moves past the protrusion into a locked position. The contact has a body section with at least one wing extending therefrom. The wing contacts the protrusion as the contact is inserted into the cavity along the axis causing the contact to rotate about the axis.

The dielectric member extends into the inner cavity and at least partially surrounds the central contact to partially electrically isolate and separate the central contact and the inner ground shield from one another within the dielectric cover.

摘要： The invention provides for an electrical connector including first and second housings having mating ends configured to be joined with one another and retain contacts that are joined when the first and second housings are mated. The first and second housings each have a reception end receiving a dielectric subassembly carrying an electrical cable connected to contacts. The dielectric subassemblies are aligned along a longitudinal axis and mate with one another when the first and second housings are mated. The first and second housings each have a hatch proximate a corresponding reception end that closes the reception end and engages a rear wall of the dielectric subassembly. At least one of the hatch and rear wall have a loading protrusion that engages another one of the hatch and rear wall to create a load force along the longitudinal axis to maintain the dielectric subassemblies fully mated with one another.

摘要： A connector assembly includes a housing that includes one or more slots for inserting a component defined in a top side of the connector housing. Each slot includes a first and a second interior surface separated by a distance. Channels are defined in each surface and are adapted to receive a portion of a terminal. Openings for receiving a terminal are defined in a bottom surface of the housing. When the terminal is fully inserted into the opening the terminal portion is substantially adjacent to a surface within the channel and a contact region of the terminal is substantially centered between the first and second interior surfaces of the slot so as to enable lateral movement of the contact portion between the first and second surfaces when the component is inserted.

Each slot includes a first and a second interior surface separated by a distance. Channels are defined in each surface and are adapted to receive a portion of a terminal. 摘要： An electrical terminal is provided for terminating a wire. The electrical terminal includes an electrical contact and a crimp barrel extending from the electrical contact. The crimp barrel is configured to be crimped around an end of the wire. The crimp barrel includes a base and opposing side walls that extend from the base. The base and the side walls define an opening of the crimp barrel that is configured to receive the end of the wire therein. The side walls extend outwardly from the base to ends. The side walls include base segments that extend from the base and end segments that extend from the base segments and include the ends. A sealing wing extends from the end of at least one of the side walls. The side walls are configured to be folded over when crimped over the end of the wire such that a gap is defined between the end segment and the base segment of at least one of the side walls. The sealing wing is configured to extend within the gap between the end segment and the base segment of the corresponding side wall when the side walls are crimped over the end of the wire.

摘要： An electrical terminal is provided for terminating a wire. The electrical terminal includes an electrical contact and a crimp barrel extending from the electrical contact. The crimp barrel is configured to be crimped around an end of the wire. The crimp barrel includes a base and opposing side walls that extend from the base. The base and the side walls define an opening of the crimp barrel that is configured to receive the end of the wire therein. The side walls extend outwardly from the base to ends. The side walls include base segments that extend from the base and end segments that extend from the base segments and include the ends. A sealing wing extends from the end of at least one of the side walls. The side walls are configured to be folded over when crimped over the end of the wire such that a gap is defined between the end segment and the base segment of at least one of the side walls. The sealing wing is configured to extend within the gap between the end segment and the base segment of the corresponding side wall when the side walls are crimped over the end of the wire.
