摘要： A zero insertion force electrical connector (60) having a housing (61) which includes a support block (62) reciprocably mounted therein. The housing (61) also includes a contact array (65) with a plurality of contact elements (66,67) extending therefrom for electrical engagement with circuit traces (63a,64a) on printed circuit boards (63,64). The contact array (65) includes a flexible etched circuit (76) thereon for signal transmission and impedance matching; and the contact elements (66,67) include arcuate sections (66a,66b,67a,67b) for ensuring compliancy, conformity, and contact wiping action at the electrical contact interfaces.

摘要： A connector assembly comprising a central contact, an inner ground shield surrounding at least a portion of the central contact, and a dielectric cover. The dielectric cover has an inner cavity that receives the central contact and the inner ground shield. The dielectric cover includes a dielectric member formed integral therewith. The dielectric member extends into the inner cavity and at least partially surrounds the central contact to partially electrically isolate and separate the central contact and the inner ground shield from one another within the dielectric cover.

摘要： Injection molded insulating strips receive a plurality of contacts. The strips are stacked together to create a multiple row, multiple column contact array. The contact array is adapted for use in an IC socket to separably connect an IC having either an LGA or BGA package lead styles. A cover plate, locator, array frame, and contact array together comprise a manufacturable and low cost separable IC socket.
