摘要： A method to transmit a packet of a BS in a communication system using a HARQ scheme is provided. The method includes assigning resource for transmitting a packet to a mobile station, and transmitting a first packet to the mobile station using the assigned resource; transmitting timing information on which a second packet is transmitted to the mobile station when the BS does not receive information indicating that the mobile station decoded the first packet successfully or when the BS receives information indicating that the mobile station failed to decode the first packet; and transmitting the second packet to the mobile station on a timing point corresponding to the timing information.

摘要： An apparatus and method for transmitting a signal in a communication system using a Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) scheme are provided. The method includes generating a codeword vector by encoding an information vector by using a first parity check matrix of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes, generating a transmission vector by processing the codeword vector, and transmitting the transmission vector. When the first parity check matrix includes a plurality of square matrix columns, each square matrix includes a size of L×L, the first parity check matrix is one of p parity check matrixes stored in the signal transmission apparatus, the p parity check matrixes support different numbers of information vector square matrix columns, and each of the numbers of information vector square matrix columns indicates the number of square matrix columns corresponding to the information vector from among the plurality of square matrix columns. The first parity check matrix is a parity check matrix supporting the number of information vector square matrix columns determined by using the length of the information vector and the value L from the p parity check matrixes, and the value L is determined by using p and the length of the information vector.

The method of transmitting a signal includes the steps of transmitting a first message including common control information and frame control information for the first communication system in a first frame, transmitting a second message including common control information and frame control information for the second communication system in a second frame, and signaling location information of the transmitted second message in the second frame.

摘要： An apparatus and a method for composing a subchannel in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes performing a subband-based permutation on resources for composing a subchannel; selecting one or more subbands as resources for a band selection subchannel from the resources passing through the subband-based permutation; composing the band selection subchannel using at least one of the selected subbands; performing a resource allocation unit based permutation on resources not selected for the band selection subchannel; composing a resource allocation unit based diversity subchannel using subband remained in the selected subbands after the band selection subchannel is composed and at least one of the resource allocation units of the resources passing through the resource allocation unit based permutation; and composing a tone-based diversity subchannel by performing a tone-based permutation on resources remained after the resource allocation unit based diversity subchannel is composed.

The first transmit power may be a reference transmit power value and the second transmit power may be a product between a weight and the reference transmit power value.

The method includes determining a signal transmission/reception corresponding relation between a downlink and an uplink of the wireless mobile communication system using a super-frame, the super-frame including at least one frame, said at least one frame including at least one downlink sub-frame and at least one uplink sub-frame, the signal transmission/reception corresponding relation enabling each sub-frame within a link including fewer sub-frames to correspond to at least one sub-frame within a link including more sub-frames when the downlink and the uplink of the wireless mobile communication system include different numbers of sub-frames, wherein the signal transmission/reception corresponding relation is also determined when the downlink and the uplink of the wireless mobile communication system include a same number of sub-frames, and transmitting and receiving signals to and from a receiver through at least one downlink sub-frame and at least one uplink sub-frame according to the determined signal transmission/reception corresponding relation.

A Mobile Station (MS) operation includes determining a system bandwidth through a primary preamble for frame synchronization, which a Base Station (BS) transmits. A Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) size, the number of guard subcarriers, and the number of used subcarriers corresponding to the system bandwidth are determined using a first table. An operation parameter of a modem is set according to the FFT size, the number of guard subcarriers, and the number of used subcarriers.
