摘要： Caliper mounts are provided that include a shallow channel for receiving a caliper scale bar, a retainer with a stepped cone washer positioned adjacent one side wall of the channel, and one or more shelves cantilevered over an opposite side wall of the channel. The shelves and retainer cooperate to retain the scale bar of a conventional sliding caliper in the channel. One caliper mount is formed as a rectangular miter slot base configured for insertion into the miter slot of a saw or router table. Another caliper mount is formed as cylindrical housing that incorporates a permanent disc magnet. Container shells and molded platforms adapted to mount a sliding caliper perpendicular to an elongated miter slot are also provided.

摘要： A mortise lock assembly is provided for mounting in a door opposite a strike plate on a door jamb. The assembly includes an automatic deadbolt feature with a bolt retractor arm that directly contacts and applies inward retraction pressure to a latch bolt and a deadbolt in response to bolt retractor hub rotation to retract the latch bolt and the deadbolt. Two deadbolt stops engage two housing stops when the deadbolt reaches the deadbolt extended position and restrain the deadbolt against further outward movement. Coil extension springs continuously bias the deadbolt and the latch bolt against retraction. A dead lock blocker releasably holds the deadbolt in the deadbolt extended position. The bolt retractor arm is additionally engageable with the blocker to release the blocker in response to bolt retractor hub rotation. A trigger releasably engages and retains the deadbolt in the deadbolt retracted position. The trigger releases the deadbolt when the door closes and the door jamb drives a bolt portion of the trigger inward. Forming the trigger bolt from a low-friction plastic such as DUPONT DELRIN.RTM. minimizes door closing forces.

The cam followers are located between the operating cams and the latch retracting assembly, and each leveraged cam follower is operable to engage the latch retracting assembly to retract the latchbolt, while the other cam follower biases its operating cam in the handle-centering position.

First, a non-handed clutching assembly, including a pair of spindle hubs rotatable within a pair of outer hubs, is provided for a mortise lock. Second, a spindle-mounted lock-handing selector—which can be removed from one side of the lockset body while the lockset body is installed in the mortise of a door—is provided to set the handing of the clutching assembly. Third, an escapement mechanism is provided for a reciprocating-slide-based clutch-actuator assembly, enabling the slides to move into a position biasing a locker-carrying lever toward a hub-coupling position, even if the outer and spindle hubs are misaligned. Fourth, a guardbolt-actuated blocking assembly for a lockset is provided to block movement of the stop works or clutch works when the door is closed and the outside door handle is disabled.

摘要： A reversible latch bolt assembly for a mortise lock. The latch bolt assembly generally comprises a bolt head subassembly having a stem threaded into the rear. The bolt head subassembly engages body designed for anchoring the reversible latch bolt assembly inside a door. The stem is inserted distally into an aperture in the body. A rotary selector assembly is mounted in the body orthogonal to the stem aperture and, when the stem is inserted, selectively engages or disengages the collar of the stem to prevent or allow rotation thereof. The rotary selector assembly is spring biased toward a normally locked position but is rotated to an unlocked position by a hex key or the like. The selector assembly allows free rotation of the bolt head when necessary to reverse the mortise lock, depending on whether the lock is mounted in a left-hand or right-hand door. Since the integral selector assembly is key-operative from the latch body tampering is much more difficult.
