    Abstract: Methods and systems for identifying cut-out patterns from a scanned raw image file and arranging shapes within a document prior to printing cut-out patterns are described. A printing device may identify and group contents in a page of a print job as shapes to be cut out from the paper after they are printed. The printing device may then detect the grouped page contents as cut-out patterns. For each cut-out pattern, the printing device may detect the white spaces of content of the cut-out pattern and mark them as available for printing other cut-out patterns. Thus, the printing device may print multiple cut-out patterns on a same page based on using the white space within larger cut-out patterns.

In an example thereof, a client service is executed on a client device of a group of client devices. Data going to or from a clipboard store of the client device is intercepted. The intercepted data is automatically sent from the client device to a server. A listing service is run on the server. The intercepted data is stored by the listing service on or accessible by the server in a list directly available to at least two in the group of client devices. A control service on a printing device is started for communication with the server to access the list.

    Abstract: Apparatuses related to identifying print jobs for pre-processing are disclosed. In an example apparatus thereof, a header is for pre-rendering a print job stored in a memory of a host device. A data page is for at least one page of the print job stored in the memory of the host device. The header includes job parameters for the pre-rendering. The job parameters include: a system identifier to identify the print job for the pre-rendering; a mode select to set for the pre-rendering; a job identifier to identify the print job from other print jobs by a printer engine or a print manager; and a cache select to set for caching a pre-rendered image for the print job after the pre-rendering thereof.

    Abstract: Methods related to pre-processing a print job are disclosed. In an example method thereof, it is determined whether a document file is loaded in an application for the print job. Identifying information for the document file is retrieved. A data set obtained from the identifying information is sent to a print manager. A print history for the document file is updated responsive to the data set. The print job includes: pre-rendering of the document file into a document image; and caching of the document image. Print settings of the print job are associated with the document file. The print settings are tracked to provide criteria data to identify frequency of use of the document file.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for encoding data streams are provided. A computing device can receive an encoder-input data stream (EIDS) encoded in a encoder-input format. The computing device can reformat the EIDS into an encoder-output data stream (EODS) encoded in an encoder-output format that differs from the encoder-input format. The EODS can include a page table for pages, resources of the pages that include reusable resources used multiple times, and binary-formatted commands related to the resources, which are stored in stored in first-come, first-served fashion. The page table can refer to pages of the EODS. The EODS can be based on a resource table storing entries for each reusable resource. Each reusable resource is stored only once in the EODS. The computing device can generate an output based on the EODS.
