摘要： An apparatus for recovering the discharge function of an ink-jet printer by suction comprises a plurality of cap members facing fluid discharge recording means each for ejecting an ink onto a recording surface of a recording medium so as to record an image, wherein each of the cap members comprises a cap slider disposed in a cap holder to be movable in a back-and-forth direction and having a rear end portion provided with a stopper member which can abut against a rear end face of the cap holder; a rubber member disposed in a front opening portion of the cap slider and having an inner portion which can be coupled to the fluid discharge recording means; and a spring member interposed between the cap holder and the cap slider and compressed when the rubber member is depressed backward.

摘要： An ink jet type recording apparatus is disclosed which includes a main tank containing recording liquid, a subsidiary tank receiving a supply of recording liquid from the main tank through a supply line, a recording head to which the recording liquid is fed from the subsidiary tank through a feeding pipe and a carriage carrying thereon the subsidiary tank and recording head. The recording liquid is supplied to the subsidiary tank from the main tank by a pumping pressure produced in the supply line when the carriage is running. The supply line is fixed at an optionally selected point in such manner than the segment of the supply line extending from the selected point to the subsidiary tank may swing move above the fixed point describing a circular arc in accordance with the running of the carriage.

摘要： A recovery process for an ink jet recording head of a recording apparatus and a device for performing the recovery process are disclosed. The ink jet recording apparatus includes a recording head with a plurality of discharge ports and a liquid chamber common to the discharge ports. The liquid chamber is supplied with ink through an ink supply path from an ink tank. The recovery device includes a device for introducing air into the liquid chamber of the recording head, a cap unit for covering the discharge ports of the recording head, and a pumping device for applying suction to the cap unit to suck the introduced air and ink through the discharge ports.
