摘要: An electric motor-driven toothbrush comprising a holder having a motor device and a toothbrush member which has a lever releasably adapted to the holder in a cantilever configuration. The toothbrush member has a number of brushing hairs or `fillings` each of which is thin and resilient, implanted at a brush head portion and a transducer device which converts a rotational movement of a rotor of the motor to a reciprocal linear movement in the direction crossing at right angles to a rotational axis of the rotor. The transducer device is provided at and adjacent to the head portion. The head portion of the brush member is finely and linealy reciprocated at a high speed along the longitudinal direction of each filling.

摘要: An electrically conductive thermoplastic resin monofilament having a high mechanical strength and an excellent electrical conductivity is produced. This monofilament containing an electrically conductive carbon black is produced through extrusion, cooling, aging, and orientation steps, the temperature of the monofilament in the orientation step is within the range of from 60.degree. C. to 5.degree. C. less than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin, and orientation is carried out at a stretching strain rate of 5000%/min or less. Also in the aging step the temperature is optionally kept constant.

摘要: Provided are a control panel or a display as well as an image processing apparatus and an electronic calculating apparatus using the electronic device or the display, the electronic device and the display each using a light transmissive solar cell for electric power generation so as to allow a solar cell part and a display part to be disposed to overlap an input part so that a larger electric power than the conventional cases can be generated without increasing the size of the whole operation panel and the whole display. An electronic device of the present invention includes: a display part capable of electrically and magnetically changing a display region and displaying of a display content displayed in the display region; a solar cell part that transmits light in a visible light region; and an input part that detects whether or not any part of the display region is manipulated, and that transmits light in a visible light region. The solar cell part and the input part are disposed on a display surface side of the display part in such a manner to form layers. An electric power generated by the solar cell part allows the electronic device to change what is displayed in the display part and detect a manipulation of the input part.

摘要: A defect inspection is performed for each of glass substrates by a surface defect detector. The distance from the center of the glass substrate to a detected defect, as a radius of a nonmagnetic region to be formed circular, is recorded along with an ID assigned to the glass substrate. Such defect information is recorded in a defect list using a printer or recorded in an RFID tag using an RFID writer. The defect list or the RFID tag is attached to a glass-substrate case. Each glass substrate and its defect information are in one-to-one correspondence and are provided to a customer as a magnetic disk manufacturer. Based on the obtained defect information, the customer manufactures magnetic disks each being a discrete track recording medium having the nonmagnetic region formed at the position where the defect is present.

摘要: An image reading apparatus includes a contact glass having a light control glass part having transmittance changeable by an applied voltage; a scanner part reading an original placed on an original placement surface of the contact glass and outputting image data in a storage part; a projector part projecting image information onto the contact glass from a side opposite to the original placement surface; and a control part controlling the voltage applied to the light controlling glass part. When the scanner part is operated, the control part causes the transmittance of the contact glass to increase and the projector part stops projecting the image information, and when the scanner part is not operated, the control part causes the transmittance of the contact glass to decrease and the projector part projects the image data stored in the storage part onto the contact glass.

摘要: In the method of obtaining captures images, there is overlaps in images in the flight direction and in a direction (cross direction) that crosses the flight direction. A predetermined number of the captured images containing overlapping sections that include a target point are selected out of the obtained images in the flight direction and/or the cross direction. From the overlap sections of these captured images, selected images are obtained by selecting image sections within a specific range that contains the target point. Using the flight direction and the cross direction as axes for a matrix, the selected images are arranged to create an aerial photograph data set.
