    摘要: A timing signal generator generates an ejection timing signal each time a printing paper travels a predetermined distance relative to a head, and a driving signal generator inputs a driving signal based on writing data to the head each time an ejection timing signal is generated. In the course of printing, when an interval between two continuous ejection timing signals is equal to or longer than twice a basic time period of input of driving signal which is fixed for a head, a non-ejection driving signal which is a driving signal indicating a non-ejecting operation is input to the head between two driving signals respectively associated the two continuous ejection timing signals. Accordingly, it is possible to reliably and properly perform ejection of ink based on writing data with a time period equal to or longer than the basic time period.

    摘要: An ink jet recording apparatus has a plurality of ink jet recording heads, a cartridge mounting mechanism having cartridge detectors 124 and 125 and levers for the insertion/removal of ink cartridges, cap members covering each recording head but disposed outside the printing area, and a pump effecting a negative pressure within the caps. An ink cartridge replacement status determiner 130 detects the mounting condition of ink cartridges according to a signal from ink cartridge detectors 124 and 125. A pump controller 135 controls the pump which supplies a negative pressure for a prescribed period to a cap member of a recording head which has had an ink cartridge replaced (in the case where the mounting of an ink cartridge is detected by determiner 130). Ink is supplied only to a recording head which has had a cartridge replaced.

The protrusion regulates transfer of the detecting plate in a direction along which the liquid-containing bag is compressed when the amount of the liquid remaining in the liquid-containing bag becomes small, and ensures a space through which the liquid can flow in the liquid-containing bag.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an ink jet ink which is an oil-based white ink for ink jet recording containing (a) titanium oxide having an average particle size of 0.15 to 0.25 μm, (b) a resin, (c) an organic solvent and (d) a nonionic surfactant, wherein the nonionic surfactant comprises at least one member selected from polyoxyethylene alkyl ethers and polyoxyethylene phenyl ethers. According to the invention, there can be provided an oil-based white ink for ink jet recording which is excellent in ejection stability and in recovery properties after standing for a long period of time.
