In semiconductor memory devices having hierarchical bit line structures, a transfer transistor provided between a main bit line and a sub-bit line hinders achievement of a high speed and a low voltage. A sub-bit line SBL in a subarray 12 is connected via a first transistor PC1 to a power source voltage, and via a second transistor NC1 to a ground voltage. A main bit line MBLj is connected via a third transistor PD1 to the power source voltage. The gate electrodes of the first transistor PC1 and the second transistor NC1 are connected to the main bit line MBLj, the gate electrode of the third transistor PD1 is connected to the sub-bit line SBL. In an initial state, a voltage of the main bit line MBLj is controlled to be at an H level, and voltages of word lines WLi1 to Wlip are controlled to be at an L level. When a read operation is performed, the voltage of the main bit line MBLj transitions to the L level, and thereafter, the voltage of a selected word line transitions to the H level.

In a prestressed concrete structure executed by posttensioning method, a metallic sheath having an inner peripheral surface thereof in sliding contact with a tendon coated with a solid lubricating coating including polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).By the use of this metallic sheath, the sliding frictional resistance produced between the metallic sheath and tendon when the tendon is subjected to tensioning operation is considerably decreased to increase the prestressing force introduced into the structure accordingly.The solid lubricating coating is excellent in flexibility and contact properties, and good characteristics of coating are imparted to the sheath.

This invention relates to a method of bridge erection i.e., an arrangement for erecting a bridge girder. More particularly, it is concerned with an erection method, in which a bridge girder is smoothly extruded, together with a movable member, on a temporary support member which is disposed on an upper shoe until the girder reaches a position near the installation position, whereupon a coupling member for connecting the upper shoe with a sole plate which is pre-fixed to the girder, is attached to the sole plate, then in this condition the girder is again moved forward up to the installation position while pushing the end portion of the temporary support member on the upper shoe by the coupling member so as to displace the temporary support member and the movable member by the coupling member, whereby the bridge girder and the support structure are fixed in engagement with each other without the need to lift the bridge girder.
