The clock signal generation circuit includes a determination circuit for determining authenticity of start information in accordance with at least one of the length of the start information and the timing at which the start information is input, and a generation circuit for generating the clock signals in synchronization with the start information when the determination circuit determines that the start information is authentic.

    摘要: An optical scan device having an optical deflector reflecting a light beam from a light beam source so as to deflect the light beam and having a surface to be scanned on which information is written such that the light beam deflected by the deflector scans the surface is disclosed. Optical detectors are arranged at least in two locations, a start side of writing and an end side of writing, which locations are outside an effective writing area. A measuring part measures a scan time required by the light beam deflected by the optical deflector to scan a range between the optical detectors. A correcting part corrects each dot position of image data in the effective writing area to an arbitrary position based on a variation amount of the measured scan time.

    摘要: A method for measuring a deviation in timing of start of writing in scanning lines is implemented by an optical scanning device that scans a surface to be scanned with light beams from light-emitting elements having first and second light-emitting elements which are arranged so as to be displaced from each other in a direction corresponding to a direction of the scanning lines. The method includes: detecting timing at which light from the first light-emitting element is received by a light receiving element, as a first time, the light receiving element outputting a synchronization detecting signal before start of writing; detecting timing at which light from the second light-emitting element is received by the light receiving element, as a second time; and obtaining the deviation in timing for the second light-emitting element with respect to the first light-emitting element based on a difference between the first and second time.

    摘要: A deflector deflects a light beam emitted from a light source including a plurality of light-emitting units. A scanning optical system focuses the light beam deflected by the deflector on a scanning target surface. A monitoring photoreceiver receives a part of a light beam deflected by the deflector and directed toward an area within a scanning area outside an image area. A detecting unit individually detects emission powers of at least two light-emitting units based on an output signal of the monitoring photoreceiver in a single sweep of scanning.

    摘要: In a light-source driving device, a high-frequency clock generating circuit generates two high-frequency clock signals having mutually different phases, an image-data creating circuit creates a plurality of image data corresponding to a plurality of light-emitting units according to image information, and a write control circuit creates a plurality of modulated data corresponding to the light-emitting units from the plurality of image data and separately controls output timings of the plurality of modulated data by using a time, as a unit, corresponding to a phase difference between the two high-frequency clock signals. The write control circuit includes two data switching circuits that set a correspondence relation between image data and PWM data based on one of a relation between an array of the light-emitting units and an array of a plurality of light spots and a relation between a surface to be scanned and a main scanning direction.
