Abstract:
A method for managing a skin care system. The skin care system includes circuitry to receive skin information from a user. The circuitry determines treatable skin conditions based on the skin information. The skin care system generates severity information and cosmetic formulation compatibility information based on the treatable skin conditions. The skin care system is further able to virtually display user-specific compatible cosmetic formulations based on at least one parameter associated with the severity information and cosmetic formulation compatibility.
Abstract:
Cosmetic compositions comprising high amount of Silybum marianum Extract, relatively high amounts of skin active ingredients chosen from salicylic acid, ascorbic acid, a cinnamic acid derivative, or a mixture thereof; c) one or more surfactants; d) from about 3 to about 15 wt. % of Propylene Glycol; e) from about 5 to about 18 wt. % of Dipropylene Glycol; and f) water; and wherein the composition has a pH not higher than about 5.
Abstract:
A tinted mineral sunscreen composition is provided in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion comprising a cationic surfactant; one or more oil thickening agent; one or more mineral pigments; one or more mineral UV filtering agents; and water wherein the ratio between the cationic surfactant and the total amount of oil thickening agents is from about 0.05 to about 3.
Abstract:
A customized skin care composition. The skin care composition includes a base composition comprising one of an aqueous alcohol composition or an aqueous emulsion. The skin care composition further includes at least two booster compositions selected from the group consisting of a first grade exfoliating agent; a second grade exfoliating agent, the second grade exfoliating agent providing greater exfoliating than the first grade exfoliating agent; a first grade whitening agent; a second grade whitening agent, the second grade whitening agent providing greater whitening than the first grade whitening agent; a first grade anti-aging agent; and a second grade anti-aging agent, the second grade anti-aging agent providing greater anti-aging effects than the first grade anti-aging agent. The base composition and the at least two booster compositions have been mixed to form a composition that is stable and has efficacious concentrations of active ingredients corresponding to skin conditions of a consumer.
Abstract:
A system for forming a cosmetic composition. The system includes a dispensing arrangement in selective fluid communication with a plurality of dispensing dosing receptacles mounted on a movable carousel. The dispensing arrangement is configured to selectively dispense a plurality of the booster compositions together with a base composition corresponding to a formulation corresponding to a compatibility profile and consumer skin conditions to form a stable composition having efficacious concentrations of active ingredients into a receiving receptacle.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to cosmetic compositions, typically in the form of an emulsion, comprising cholesterol, at least one ceramide, and oils. The compositions are particularly useful for supporting natural lipid barrier function of skin. Furthermore, the compositions treat skin dryness, skin damage, and the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots, and uneven skin texture. Also disclosed is a process for manufacturing the cosmetic compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising (a) about 10% to about 20% by weight, based upon the total weight of the composition of a film forming agent; (b) about 1% to about 25% by weight, based upon the total weight of the composition of a particulate material; (c) two or more thickening agents; and (d) water. When applied to the skin, the composition allows for immediate tightening of the skin while decreasing the visibility of fine lines and deep wrinkles.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions comprising: (a) at least two phenolic compounds (one flavoid and one non-flavoid); (b) at least one hydrotrope; (c) at least one emulsifier; (d) a lipid-soluble antioxidant; and (e) water. The at least one hydrotrope should be present in an amount that is effective to solubilize said at least two phenolic compounds in the water phase of the composition. The at least one emulsifier should be present in an amount sufficient to create a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion that is effective to solubilize the lipid-soluble antioxidant. The compositions are useful for cosmetic purposes and other uses.
