Abstract: A display device is disclosed that includes a display panel on which one or more sub-pixels including a light emitting device and a driving transistor for driving the light emitting device are disposed in a display area, and whose shape is changed during a transforming period, a timing controller for receiving image data and a command signal defining the transforming period, and converting the image data to output converted image data, and a data driving circuit for receiving the converted image data and outputting a data voltage, wherein, in the transforming period, at least one sub-pixel emits light based on the image data input to the timing controller, and emits light with a luminance lower than a luminance corresponding to a grayscale of the image data. Accordingly, there may be provided a display device capable of changing a shape during an image display period.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device and a driving circuit. In the display device, a first subpixel is connected to a first data line and a first reference voltage line, and includes an emitting device and a driving transistor; and a second subpixel is connected to a second data line and a second reference voltage line, and includes an emitting device and a driving transistor. The driving time of the first subpixel includes a first initialization time in which a reference voltage is applied to the first reference voltage line and a first tracking time in which a voltage of the first reference voltage line increases from the reference voltage and then is saturated. Sensing times for subpixels having different channel sizes are reduced.

Abstract: Two or more sensing switches are included in a sensing unit for detecting a characteristic value of a subpixel, and are electrically coupled to a reference voltage line. The two or more sensing switches share a sampling switch with a sensing capacitor included in the sensing unit, which reduces size of the sensing unit. Sensing may include driving simultaneously two or more sensing switches sharing a sensing capacitor, or sensing may be performed through continuous and short driving after simultaneous driving. Overall sensing time can be reduced and sensing accuracy improved.

Abstract: An organic light-emitting display device includes: an organic light-emitting display panel including: a plurality of subpixels including: an organic light-emitting diode (OLED), a driving transistor (DT) driving the OLED including a first transistor between a first node of the DT and a data line, and a second transistor (T2) between a second node of the DT and a reference voltage line having a reference voltage (RV) applied, a sensor, and a sampling switch, wherein, during an OLED short detection period for detecting a short circuit between the first electrode and a second electrode of the OLED: the DT and the first transistor are off, when the T2 is turned off, the RV line is initialized when the RV is applied thereto, after the T2 is turned on, the sampling switch is turned on to connect the sensor and the RV line, and the sensor measures the RV line voltage.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an organic light emitting display device that performs sensing and compensation for a characteristic value of a subpixel, and provide the organic light emitting display device that detects whether a sensing environment has a defect via transceiving a signal between a controller and a data driver before sensing is performed in a period in which the characteristic value of the subpixel is sensed, and controls sensing of the characteristic value of the subpixel according to detection of whether the sensing environment has a defect. According to the present disclosure, an error of sensing data due to a defect in the sensing environment may be prevented and an image abnormality due to compensation performed based on erroneous sensing data may be prevented, by detecting a defect in the sensing environment and stopping sensing of the characteristic value of the subpixel when the sensing environment has a defect.
