Abstract: An impact tool includes a housing, an impact mechanism unit, a motor, and a dust collection fan. The housing is configured to mount a dust collection attachment. The impact mechanism unit is disposed inside the housing. The impact mechanism unit has a front end to which a tool bit is mounted and an impact element that reciprocates. The impact mechanism unit is configured to impact the tool bit by the impact element. The motor is disposed such that a rotation shaft of the motor intersects with an impact axis direction of the impact mechanism unit inside the housing. The dust collection fan is disposed on the rotation shaft. The dust collection fan is disposed below the motor.

Abstract: A power tool, such as a rotary hammer, includes a housing, an output shaft for mounting a tool accessary and a motor having a motor shaft that generates a rotational output for rotating and linearly hammering the output shaft. The rotational output of the motor shaft is coupled to the output shaft via a driving mechanism that includes a hammer mechanism. An intervening member is axially movable relative to the motor shaft and is operably coupled between the motor shaft and the hammer mechanism. The hammer mechanism and the output shaft are supported by a movable support that is axially movable relative to the housing. Because the output shaft and the driving mechanism are movable relative to the motor and the housing, which preferably includes handle, via the intervening member and the movable support during hammering operations, vibration generated during hammering operations can be dampened before reaching the housing.

Abstract: A power tool includes a motor having a motor shaft, a first intermediate shaft, and a second intermediate shaft extending in parallel to the first intermediate shaft. An output shaft removably holds a tool accessory and has a driving axis extending in parallel to the first and second intermediate shafts. A motion-converting mechanism converts rotation of the first intermediate shaft to linearly hammer the tool accessory. A pair of first gears, e.g., bevel gears, operably couples the motor shaft to a first one of the first and second intermediate shafts. A pair of second gears operably couples the first one of the first and second intermediate shafts to a second one of the first and second intermediate shafts.

Abstract: A driving tool includes a driver, and a piston connected to the driver. The piston and the driver are housed within a cylinder such that the piston slidably moves within the cylinder by gas active pressure. The cylinder is positioned in an adjoining arear of an axis line of the piston. The cylinder is made of iron. Accordingly, a weight in the adjoining arear of the axis line of the piston is more than a cylinder made of aluminum or resin. Because of the large weight in the adjoining area of the axis line of the piston, a reaction force against a movement of the piston and a driving of the driver can be effectively restrained.
