Abstract: A dust collector for use with a power tool comprises a housing, a telescoping suction pipe coupled to the housing, a suction fan positioned in the housing and operable to generate a vacuum in the suction pipe, a dust container coupled to the housing and positioned upstream of the fan, a filter at least partially arranged in the dust container, and a filter cleaning mechanism. The filter cleaning mechanism includes an anvil, a striker moveable between a first striker position, in which the striker is spaced from the anvil, and a second striker position, in which the striker is in contact with the anvil. The filter cleaning mechanism further includes an actuator moveable between a first actuator position and a second actuator position, in which the actuator is moved closer to the anvil than in the first position, and a first spring biasing the striker toward the anvil.

Abstract: A table saw includes a table, a saw unit movably coupled underneath the table, a riving knife extending through the table, and a quick-release assembly selectively coupling the riving knife to the table. The quick-release assembly includes a mounting plate coupled to the table and a clamping plate movable relative to the mounting plate between a clamping position, in which the riving knife is clamped between the mounting plate and the clamping plate to secure the riving knife to the table, and a release position, in which the riving knife is releasable from the table. The quick-release assembly further includes a pin coupled for movement with the clamping plate and a handle pivotably coupled to the pin. The pin has a cam portion engageable with the saw unit. The clamping plate is movable between the clamping positon and the release position in response to pivoting movement of the handle.

Abstract: A vibrating screed including a screed member, a brushless direct-current motor, a power switching network coupled between a power source and the brushless direct-current motor, and an exciter assembly that vibrates the screed member when torque is received from the motor, and an electric processor. The electric processor is electrically coupled to the motor and the power switching network and is configured to operate the brushless direct-current motor at a selected speed by providing pulse-width modulated signals to the power switching network, the pulse-width modulated signals having a duty ratio, determine a current speed of the brushless direct-current motor, determine whether a difference between the selected speed and the current speed is above a threshold amount, and modify the duty ratio by a predetermined amount when the difference between the selected speed and the current speed is above the threshold amount to continue operating the motor at the selected speed.

The rotational speed of the spindle and a reciprocation frequency of the reciprocation mechanism may be independently controllable.
