Abstract:
Improvements are disclosed to lighting fixtures adjusted in beam direction during use, both manually and remotely by an operator. The head of the manual fixture is mounted rotatably between two standards, which are attached to a base, such that the attachments can be moved vertically along the standards to adjust the distance between the head and base. The remote fixture uses a two-axis mirror for beam direction and at least one additional axis of adjustment. Improvements to power and data distribution and pre-rig truss are disclosed.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for a personal interaction game platform and may include, in a human-controlling gaming platform comprising a first communication device and a second communication device, each comprising a user input mechanism and a display: receiving commands in the first device via its user input mechanism; communicating the received commands to the second device; relaying the communicated commands to a user of the second device; sensing data regarding actions taken by the user of the second device in response to the relayed commands; and communicating the sensed data to the first device. The commands may be relayed to the user of the second device via an audio output. The commands may be relayed to the user of the second device via the display. One or more tactile sensors may be operatively coupled to the second device for sensing the data regarding actions of the receiver.
Abstract:
A system and method of improving the process of assembling a multi-party order of individually prepared beverages is disclosed, making use of a customer's personal portable electronic device, such as a smartphone or tablet. The customer establishes a wireless link with the order management system of an enterprise preparing such beverage orders on its premises, whereby the customer can specify their own order. Reference is made to a record of the customer's nearby friends, relatives, and coworkers, who are automatically contacted via their personal electronic devices to determine whether and what they desire from the same enterprise. All responses are automatically collated an wirelessly transmitted to the enterprise for preparation without need of customer intervention.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided for processing a set of communicated signals associated with a set of muscles, such as the muscles near the larynx of the person, or any other muscles the person use to achieve a desired response. The method includes the steps of attaching a single integrated sensor, for example, near the throat of the person proximate to the larynx and detecting an electrical signal through the sensor. The method further includes the steps of extracting features from the detected electrical signal and continuously transforming them into speech sounds without the need for further modulation. The method also includes comparing the extracted features to a set of prototype features and selecting a prototype feature of the set of prototype features providing a smallest relative difference.
Abstract:
Devices, methods, and systems are provided that allow for acquiring and/or communicating data associated with a location. Embodiments of the present invention allow a mobile communication device to detect a sensor associated with a particular location, and information about that location is provided to the mobile communication device. Other embodiments allow data to be detected and processed in order to characterize a location and objects contained therein.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing a set of communicated signals associated with a set of muscles, such as the muscles near the larynx of the person, or any other muscles the person use to achieve a desired response. The method may include attaching a sensor near an area of a user's body associated with speech production, detecting an electrical signal from the user's nervous system through the sensor, and processing the detected electrical signal to provide communication capability for the user. The processing may include extracting a set of features of the detected electrical signal. The extracted set of features may be compared with a set of prototype features. The set of prototype features may correspond to at least one of multiple response classes. The multiple response classes may include an affirmative response class and a negative response class.

Abstract:
An associated between a data type and a user interface (UI) element such as a Page and/or Panel, and a data type allows dynamic determination of application flow including menu and menu items. This may allow a dynamic determination of all target UI elements to which an end user may navigate from a source UI element, that are capable of displaying the same record of information represented in the source UI element or a related record of information.
