摘要: A system and method for determining the presence of an asset or person at a particular spot within a location. The asset or person is provided with a beacon transmitting a beacon signal. A plurality of receivers are disposed throughout the location. In one embodiment, two or more adjacent or nearby receivers are grouped together to define a receiver cluster. The receiver cluster having the highest average signal strength from the signal being transmitted from the beacon of the asset or person as determined by an electronic identification and location tracking system determines the particular area within the location where the asset or person is present at.

摘要: In various embodiments, the predicted location of a user within an institutional space is associated with a node at or near that location, and a virtual desktop is prepared before a user has actually logged on and authenticated. Although users are not accorded access to applications and sensitive data until they have properly authenticated themselves, the virtual desktop and associated data are assembled and retrieved in the background in order to eliminate delay following log-on.

The snippets and linkages may be aggregated with, for example, a building floor plan to provide a more complete informational description of the mobile device and/or the behavior of the user of the mobile device (information map).

摘要: An occurrence of an emergency situation pertinent to people presently located within a venue can be identified. Responsive to identifying the emergency situation pertinent to the people located within the venue, a first level of security clearance assigned to a user located within the venue, and a present location within the venue of a first mobile device of the user, can be automatically determined. A route, from the present location within the venue of the first mobile device to an exit of the venue, which does not require the user to be assigned a second level of security clearance that is higher than the first level of security clearance for the user to traverse the route, also can be determined. An emergency alert and an emergency plan for exiting the venue can be automatically communicated to the mobile device, wherein the emergency plan for exiting the venue describes the route.

摘要: Systems, methods, and devices for managing predetermined functions on a mobile device within a moving vehicle, the mobile device having an operating system (OS) that includes an event API installed therein that is configured for two-way communication with an external control device, the control device being installed within the vehicle and further configured to communicate with a software application installed and running in memory resident on the mobile device. In response to initiation of a predetermined function on the mobile device, a notification message is transmitted by the event API to the control device. The control device then communicates with the software application to determine a desired action for the mobile device to take with respect to the predetermined function. The control device then instructs the mobile device on the action to take on the predetermined function by transmitting an action message to the event API.

Each of the networked control panels using wireless signals (26,27) to monitor and control a unique set of monitored electronic devices (16). The method includes the steps of: (a) transmitting an electronic signal (38) from a control panel (12) to a central computer processor (20), the electronic signal (38) providing data indicating a physical location of the control panel (12); and (b) in response to the electronic signal (38), the central processor (20) automatically assigning a Personal Area Network ID and channel number (34) to the control panel that do not conflict with any networked control panel near the physical location of the control panel (12).

摘要: In one aspect, the present disclosure relates to a self-identifying optical transmitter for broadcasting a one-way authentication code using light-based communication. The transmitter may include a memory for storing an identifier of the transmitter, a processor for generating a data signal including an identifier of the transmitter, a modulator for receiving the data signal and generating an electrical signal, the modular generating the electrical signal by modulating the data signal. The transmitter may also include a light source for receiving the electrical signal, converting the electrical signal into an optical signal, and continuously broadcasting the optical signal as an optical data transmission stream. The optical data transmission stream may be used to verify that a receiving mobile device is near the transmitter. The transmitter may also include an optical surface for dispersing the optical data transmission stream as the optical data transmission stream is emitted from the transmitter.
