摘要： A cleaner for cleaning a surface of a rotating material, including an elastic blade arranged to counter the rotating material while a tip of the elastic blade is contacted with the surface of the rotating material to clean the surface of the rotating material, wherein the elastic blade has a first surface facing the rotating material, and a second surface opposite to the first surface thereof, and wherein the elastic blade has a recessed portion, which has a bottom surface and a wall, in a rear portion of the second surface; and a support plate configured to support the elastic blade, wherein the support plate has a first surface facing the rotating material, a second surface opposite to the first surface and a tip surface, wherein the elastic blade is connected with the support plate in such a manner that the bottom surface and the wall of the recessed portion of the blade are contacted with the first surface and the tip surface of the support plate, respectively.

摘要： A cleaning device and process cartridge comprising same for an image formation apparatus, which prevents cleaning failures due to toner slipping past a blade, based on an equation for the force of toner particle rotation and the restraining force. Toner on an image carrier is removed by a blade. The relation between the blade and the image carrier satisfies the equation f(θ)=μ2−μ1×(Ntp/Nbt+cos θ)>0. Here μ1 is the friction coefficient between toner and image carrier, μ2 is the friction coefficient between toner and blade, Ntp is the adhesive force between toner and image carrier, Nbt is the force received by the toner from the blade, and θ is the angle formed by the blade and image carrier (the cleaning angle).

摘要： By using a duct, an image forming device in which an upper portion of a thermal fixing mechanism and an optical mechanism can be cooled. A fixing unit is disposed on the left side of the duct. A first auxiliary plate, which supports a scanner unit having a drive motor, is disposed above an upper opening of the duct. A process cartridge is disposed with its end next to the right side of the duct, and a second auxiliary plate is disposed below the duct. A power source is placed under the second auxiliary plate. Accordingly, cooling air from an intake fan is directed to four directions: between an upper portion of the fixing unit and the first auxiliary plate, to the underside of the first auxiliary plate, to the end of the process cartridge, and to the power source.

摘要： A cartridge for replenishing a two-ingredient developer to an image forming apparatus, and a developer replenishing device using it are disclosed. The cartridge is made up of two containers each storing a content of particular kind. One of the containers has an annular portion and a bore formed at the center by the annular portion. The other container has a cylindrical configuration and coaxially mates with the above container to form a single unit. Coaxial openings are respectively formed in the containers. Spiral grooves inclined in opposite directions to each other are respectively formed on the inner peripheries of the containers.

摘要： An image forming apparatus having various process units at least one of which is removable for replacement. The apparatus has a mode selecting a device accessible for selecting desired one of a plurality of image modes. A photoconductive element, developing unit, image transferring unit and other replaceable process units each is provided with a storage for storing image forming conditions which match an image mode selected on the mode selecting device. A copy process and other conditions are set up on the basis of the conditions stored in the storage.
